Kayla's P.O.V (yes Kayla remember one of Katlynns friends in the first chapter? XD)

"You get back here right now young lady!"

"No! You're not the boss of me!" I yelled back.

"Yes I am as long as you live under my roof, I am!"

"This isn't your house! It is an apartment that I pay for! Now get out!"

"I own these apartments! Therefore it's my roof!" my grandpa yelled at me.

"Fine then I'll move out! " I screamed at him. I grabbed my car keys and headed towards the door.

"I'll be back later to get my stuff." I said to him and slammed the door shut and walked out to my black BMW 650i Coupe. This car is my baby I love it to death. When my parents died from a house fire I inherited this, and a large amount of money. All that money I got from them is spread out into multiple saving accounts now; it didn't feel right to spend their money so I work to support myself, by being my grandpa's apartment manager.

I got in my car and started driving. 'Where am I going?' I asked myself. 'Maybe the mall, or go out to eat? Hmm, I really don't have anything to do maybe I could go hang out at the beach today?' I nodded to myself and took a turn that would take me to Southside beach. I turned up the radio and my favorite song was on; it was love story by Taylor swift as I sang along I started thinking about what just happened.

My grandpa was being very unfair. I was trying to ask him if I could go on a hike up by black water creek. But as soon as I said the name of the place he went psycho on me. I asked him again after he calmed down some and he started saying I was grounded and couldn't go, I turned around and started walking away and then he yelled get back here and some other crap that made me mad, and so now I have to move out. Yay; note I'm being sarcastic.

I pulled up next to the beach and got out. The beautiful water was rough and the sky was completely covered with black and gray clouds making it seem later in the evening then it really was. I started walking towards the cliffs, where I spend most of my free time. No one was here today but I could see footprints in the sand, leading up towards the cliffs. The cold wind whipped my hair and my jacket around me furiously, as I followed the trail. After a few minutes of walking, I started hearing gurgling and splashing a little ways out in the water near one of the closest cliffs.

I turned to face what was making the noise; I saw two hands flailing in the air and dark brown hair bob up and down. 'Oh my god someone's drowning! Hurry up help him!' I yelled at myself mentally. I ripped my jacket off and dove into the water towards where the man was beginning to sink. When I got to he started grabbing me trying to get out of the water by pushing me under. I pulled away from him and went up to get air and went back under. He was still moving just not as much as before. I grabbed his pant leg and dragged him back to shore. Once I had finished pulling him up I noticed he had stopped moving; I leaned over him and put my ear against his chest to hear his heartbeat. When our skin made contact a surprising shock went through me; it didn't hurt it just felt strange. I past it off as static electricity and continued to listen. His heart beat was faint, and he wasn't breathing. My instincts kicked in and I began CPR; ignoring the tingly feeling that occurred when our lips met.

I only had to repeat the process a few times before he began coughing out water. I tipped him on his side in case he would throw up. Thank god he didn't. I scooted back to give him some room. He turned to lay flat on his back, with his eyes still closed. I stood up and ran over to my jacket and brought it back to where he was. I gently put my thick purple and black plaid jacket over him, hoping it would help some. As I was in the process of taking off my wet and very heavy boots his eyes opened. I throw the boot I had in my hand down and crawled back over to him.
