As soon as the words left my mouth he picked me up in to a tight bone crushing bear hug, while turning side to side.
"Can't breathe!" I managed to gasp.
He instantly loosened his grip on me but didn't drop me completely.
"Sorry, I'm just so happy you chose that option, I thought you'd choose 4 or 3, or another easier one."
I figured I would mess with him a bit, just a little for basically saying I was weak. I wiggled out of his arms and pouted at him.
"Well if you want I could choose 4. It doesn't seem that hard I have a silver pocket knife with me..." I let my voice trail off as I pulled the knife out of Katlynns now ripped black jacket. I slowly unfolded it and watched it as it glinted in the sun. I looked up to see Eric's expression; his mouth was gaping open and his eyes were full of worry. His arms were half way extended towards me as if to stop me.
I slowly brought the knife closer to my wrist. When it touched my skin I could feel it burn like it was made out of fire itself. I didn't have time to process what happened, less than a second after the knife touched me Eric went into motion. He tackled me onto the ground outside of the cabin and grabbed the knife out of my hand.
"No! Please Allie, I'm sorry I didn't mean it like that!" he yelled as he folded the knife back up and threw it as hard as he could.
I was frozen in that spot looking at my wrist; from the bottom of my palm to about three inches out, my skin was burnt. In the middle of the burnt area there was a thin cut across the front of my wrist that had blood pouring out. Man I didn't think it would have this bad.
Eric followed my eyes and saw what happened. I heard him gasp, next to me. I jumped at the sudden closeness that I wasn't expecting. He gently took my arm and turned it this way and that.
"I'm sorry Allie I didn't know it would burn you this bad." He whispered
I looked up at him slowly with a sad smile on my face.
"I was just joking; I wasn't going to really do anything." I said with a small laugh. He looked up at me glaring.
"I didn't know that Allie, I was scared to death thinking you were about to kill yourself!!" he said in an exasperated tone.
"I'm sorry." I whispered.
He let out a heavy sigh. "It's okay." He said and then he froze and looked down at me, and quickly looked back up.
"Um Allie, do you have some clothes at your campsite?" he said, in an awkward tone.
"Yeah, but why does that-"I said but stopped short, when I saw my clothes; if you could call them that still. My black tee-shirt had three long gashes in it from under my color all the way down showing my bright pink bra, with more little cuts on the side. My blue jeans were now stained with dry blood; the legs were almost completely ripped off and looked like booty shorts, there was a rip from the top of the waist band that went down about five inches revealing skin in ... girly places, while the front pockets were almost complete ripped off, and was revealing some blood stained underwear. My shoes were now blood stained and dirty. Katlynns jacket had cuts on the front, and had the left sleeve dangling by a thread. The bottom part was okay though. The other sleeve had a single gash from the shoulder to the wrist. I looked like a bear mulled me! Huh, I guess that's what he was saying about a bear.
"Which way to camp?" he asked still looking away from me.
"This way," I said getting up off the muddy ground and started walking the way towards camp.
We walked quietly to the campsite, Eric walked in front of me I assume so he wouldn't accidently see something that my 'clothes' should have been covering. When we got to the campsite, I ran into the camouflage tent, to get dressed. I was hoping I brought jeans and a tee but instead all I found was a short white dress, with bra and underwear that were also white. I sighed and changed into it. I tied my dark brown hair into a pony tail and slipped my shoes back on and walked out of the tent.
