Claire's P.O.V
I felt Allie fall into unconsciousness quickly after she returned. I let out a sigh trying to release some of my guilt. I looked at Eric and saw his face expressionless but his eye told more. Pain, worry, sadness and fear, were there in his brown eyes. All this pain was because of one decision that I wish that I could take back.
"I'm sorry," I whispered to Eric. He nodded; all emotions now hidden from his eyes.
"I have to know everything about this so that I can help you and Allie." He said gesturing towards the black covering almost all of my skin now.
"After wondering around for so long without a body, I became weak. I knew I couldn't go on much longer without one, but I wasn't willing to settle for just anyone after what happened with Andrea."
Eric grimaced when I said her name, and looked away his eyes slowly becoming more yellow.
"I went through a village that used to be close to here and a witch found me. She saw I was weak and desperate to continue my search, so she made a deal with me. She offered me a spell that would give me strength so that I could find Allie, but I had to let her cast the darkness within spell on me too. I said I would after she did the strength spell. So she cast it on me I felt amazing, and was ready for her to cast the other on me but she had to rest a day or so before she could cast another spell." I stopped to take a breath and let Eric ask his question that I could see lurking in his eyes.
"What was her name?" he asked like I knew he would.
"Jane Merceton,"
"Where was the village? Is it still there?" he asked
"It should be around 50 miles west if it's still there." I said trying to remember what year I was there last.
"I think I know who she is, but that might not be a good thing." He said,
"How do you know her?" I asked,
"I don't, Andrew does. Jane Merceton is Andrea Wiltfyres grandmother."
