"look at our beautiful sons," nala smiles, looking at her two sons. simba lays beside her, agreeing with her. they watch as their baby boys, kopa and kion play with their aunty, tama.

"mama! papa! lookie, ziwa has cubbies!" a one month old kion exclaims, nala looks at zira and runs over to her. in zira's paws, laid two cubs, which were named kovu and vitani.

"they look beautiful, just like their parents." nala says, neko smiles and looks at his beautiful mate. he was the son of scar and naomi, and zira was scar's cousin. their love was forbidden but soon, it was accepted by the pridelanders.

but, the truth is the cubs weren't zira's nor neko's. kovu, was the son of scar and kula. after kula gave birth, zira became jealous as her cubs, kolu and kuwa had died after birth. zira threatened the poor young adult and kula soon gave up. she gave kovu to zira and walked off to her mate, chumvi and her daughter, dotty.

vitani, was the cub of tama and scar. all the lionesses were shocked when scar called out tama, why? tama was his cub! after tama gave birth to vitani, she saw how much she looked like her and her father. tama soon walked off, leaving vitani's twin from tojo, tiifu with tojo and walked to zira's cave. tama told zira she couldn't take the baby, knowing her father had impregnated her, causing her to give birth to vitani. zira gladly took vitani, putting her in her paws and waited for kula to give in. also, vitani is older than kovu by one hour.

"hey where did little vitani get her tuft from?" little nuka asks. zira gives him a lick on the cheek before neko answers his question.

"my mother, naomi." he says gently. nuka smiles at his step father and biological mother. soon, all the lionesses gather around zira and congratulate zira on her birth. tama and kula however, were upset. tama realised how much vitani meant to her and kula's hatred for zira took over.

"achoo!" baby tiifu sneezes. tama looks at her daughter with a small smile. nala walks over to kula and tama, simba, chumvi, tojo and her cubs behind her.

"oh, what's wrong dears?" the lioness asks. tama looks at nala and breaks down. she couldn't take the pain. kula sat beside tama and they cried together.

"s - she t - took o - our c - cubs," they stuttered while sobbing endlessly. chumvi and tojo went to their mates and nuzzled them.

"it's okay sis, you'll get through this." chumvi comforts his sister, tama. she smiles at her twin brother and nuzzles him. neko walks into the cave with zira and 'his' cubs.

"hey big sis, what's wrong?" neko asks, pretending as if he didn't know why tama was sobbing.

"YOU ASS! YOU SAW AS I GAVE MY VITANI TO ZIRA! DON'T 'hey big sis, what's wrong?' ME! YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENED! YOU'RE JUST LIKE FATHER!" tama screams at neko. everyone was shocked at how tama was behaving. the cubs were confused and hugged their parents paws.

"AND YOU ZIRA, THREATENED TO KILL CHUMVI AND DOTTY IF I DIDN'T GIVE KOVU TO YOU! SO DON'T PITY ME! I'M SURE KOVU WILL EVEN REGRET BEING YOUR SON ONE DAY YOU SLUT!" kula yells at zira. the king, queen and sons left the small gave and walked to the main cave. chumvi stands proud with his mate and sister and tojo stands by tama to defend her and the small cubs. nuka became scared and hid behind the two males.

zira lunged towards kula and tama and neko protects his sister and friend. zira ends up attacking neko and killing him in the process. after zira realised who she was attacking, she stopped and looked at neko's lifeless body.

"n - neko?" tama shakes her younger brother. no answer. chumvi checks his pulse before bursting into tears.

"YOU KILLED HIM!" chumvi sobs and points towards zira. her eyes widen and she cries. nuka sobs and looks at his step - father.

"i love you," nuka whispered in his ear. he buries his face in neko's mane and cries.

everyone in the cave cried, they were so heartbroken. simba and nala went to see what the commotion was about and saw their cousin, laying there. his lifeless body was covered in blood and claw marks.

that was how zira's second mate died.
