NUMBER FIVE, YEAH!

"wake up, little brother!" an annoying voice exclaims. i groan and push the cub away. "happy birthday to you," another voice sings.

"happy birthday to kion," another voice sings. great, tiifu and zuri are in this too. "fine, fine. i'm awake." kiara gives me a hug and whispers, "happy birthday lil bro," sigh, i feel so bad for her. she's gonna find it soon.

i walk out of the cave to see mom and dad at the tip of priderock, smiling and waving at me. i run over to mom and hug her, "morning mom!" she picks me up and puts me in between her paws. "ugh, i don't wanna bath!" i groan and mom chuckles.

"hey kion, you've gotta day off and you can do whatever you want today!" dad smiles at me. i quickly get excited, "does that mean i can meet vitani again!?" he sighs and shakes his head. dad really seemed sad and upset when i mentioned my ex - bethroned.

after my bath, i ran to the waterhole for a drink. suddenly, i heard a rustle in the grass. i growled, "who are you? show yourself!" a familiar lion cub jumps out of the grass and revealed himself, "kopa? is that you?" he nods and i give him a great, big hug.

"I MISSED YOU SOOO MUCH POPS!" i exclaimed, kopa hushing me after. what? he doesn't want to be home? "pinned ya!" a female pounced on me, vitani?

"tani!" i smile and gave her a lick on the cheek.  she smiles at me and another cub comes out of the grass, kovu? "hey kov!"

"um, kion. who are these people?" kiara says from behind me. uh oh, i guess i have to tell her the truth.

"kiara, the truth is... you aren't the oldest. this male here is kopa. he is my twin brother and heir to the throne." i say to kiara. she looks shocked and sad at the same time.

"okay, lemme explain little sis." kopa insisted. he explained everything. and when i say everything. i mean it. "i have two big brothers now, yay!" she says sarcastically.

"hey tani? i gotta go, mother wants me to go train." kovu informs vitani. he runs off, back to the outlands. kopa, vitani and i caught up with each other, how life was and all.

"poppy!" tiifu screams. kopa runs over to her and hugs her. awww. they're so cute.

"i know right," vitani sighs, leaving me and walking back to the outlands.

"BYE V!" i scream at her. she waves and continues her way home. sigh, i guess i'm gonna see her on my next birthday.

"oh, look at the time! i gotta go. bye guys! good to meet you, zuri. BYE!" kopa says quickly before running to the grasslands? WAIT! he must be with uncle chaka.

"let's go girls," i motion for the girls to follow me. they follow behind me and i lead them back home.
