"wake up, dad! wake up!" kopa's voice echoes in the cave. i groan and walk over to mom.

"what's wrong kion?" she asks. i snort and point to kopa, who was biting on dad's ear. he must be annoyed.

"poor kion, let's put you back to sleep." mom smiles. she picks me up and brings me into the cave. she puts me in her paws and sings a lullaby. before i knew it, i was asleep.

"that was soo fun, dad!" a voice exclaims excitedly. ugh, i'm trying to sleep! my eyes flutter open to see kopa talking to mom and dad. he always gets the attention, no fair.

"i feel you kion," a female sighs. i jump up and see vitani laying beside me. i take a deep breath.

"you scared me!" i inform the younger girl. she laughs and gives me a lick on the cheek. i blush madly and my eyes widen.

"kopa, tiifu, vitani, kion!" dad calls. ugh, kopa's always first and i'm always last. not fair! i'm also a prince!

"let's go tomato," vitani says. i blush before walking to my father with her.

"okay, today, i am going to choose your future mates." dad says calmly. FUTURE MATE!? WHAT!? kopa is jumping around and screaming. tiifu is blushing like her crush asked her out and vitani's rolling her eyes.

"okay, kopa. choose your mate." dad smiles. WHAT!? KOPA GETS TO CHOOSE!?

"v - vitani." he mumbles. oh, i was about to choose vitani too. vitani shakes her head no. uh, what's going on?

"i don't want kopa! i want kion!" she yells. kopa, dad, tiifu and i were shocked by vitani's move. d - did she s - say she w - wants m - me t - to be her m - mate?

"vitani, sadly, kopa is going to be your mate. no matter you like it or not. he's the future king, and i'm king. you have to follow under mine and his rules." dad explains. vitani threatens dad and walks off, in tears. tiifu cries as well, as she wanted kopa to choose her.

i run off and chase after vitani. i can't loose her, i love her too much. but, i'm a cub. i don't know what love is. well, i'm six months but that's still considered a cub!

"i c - can't b - be - believe h - him!" a voice stutters, her fur was wet and it smells like tears. that's vitani! how am i so stupid not to recognise her?

"t - tani?" i calls her gently. she turns around and hugs me. she gives me a kiss on the cheek and i smile.

"i love you," i whisper in vitani's ear. she smiles for a seconds before whispering in my ear.

"i love you too,"

that's when i found out i love vitani and she loves me back.
