"Replacement"

It's been over 2 weeks. The leaves were slowly falling, the sky was dull and cloudy. It was slowly changing from summer to autumn."I told you not to touch me in public..!!!" I push Jongin away from me as we walked down the busy street. It was our fall break and almost everyday I spend my free time with this kid.

"Hmph....But Hyung said he'd go on a date with me.." He sulk.

"It's not a date-"

"Then what is it? Here I am trying to be a good boyfriend and you're just trying to reject me," Jongin was acting like a sassy annoying girls who gets upset for the tiniest reasons.

I rolled my eyes and kept walking. The words Boyfriend echoed in my head. I still wasn't use to that word when it is used by him. We weren't normal...We are different. And sometimes...Because we are different from others, I might end up hurting Jongin. But one time he told me:

"Hyung, Whatever happens...Whatever struggle you have to face. I'll face it with you so don't struggle alone. I'll always love you."

Even though his words were cringy and gross, they were still full of warmth and comfort."Yah...Jongin. Why are you sulking like a kid? Do you not want to continue our date?" I said with a smirk as I kept walking ahead of him.

"Aish! Hyung! What're you talking about? Of course! Let's go!" He caught up to me and walked close next to me with a golden smile. Seeing him smile so widely, I couldn't help but smile as well.

"Hello?" Jongin answered his call while we were eating at a cafe. I looked up from my cake seeing his expression completely change. His face was pale and he looked like he was on paused. Second later, He hung up.

"......Who was it?" I asked.

"N-No one important...!!" He stuttered. And this was the first time I've heard him stutter in front of me. I knew something was up, but I decided to leave it there. I can trust him, he'll tell me the truth.

"Hyung..! Can I leave first?" He suddenly asked. And it took me by surprise. Jongin usually is the one whining the date was too short and not He is here wanting to leave?

"Sure..I'll walk-"

"No..! It's okay..! I'll walk home by myself. It's urgent..! I'm sorry, Hyung! I'll call you!" He said quickly and ran out...Leaving me alone. Confused and frustrated.

I, soon, payed and went home. I plopped down of my bed trying to think of reasons why Jongin left so quickly. Maybe...Something to do with his family...Yea, probably.

I got up to go to the kitchen but paused when I heard my phone rang. I answered,"Hello? Seojin-Ah..? What's with the sudden call?"

"Ah..! Oppa! Are you busy?" I heard Seojin's cheerful voice which made me at ease.

"No, not really...Why?"

"Can you come meet me at the cafe by our school? I have somethings to discuss with you! Please!!" I couldn't help but chuckle at Seojin.

"I got it..I'll meet you there in a bit." I said.

"Okay! I'll be waiting Oppa!" She said and hung up. I let out a sigh of relief and got ready to go meet Seojin.

"So? What's up?" I sat across the table from her. Seojin has folders of papers next to her with two sundae.

"We are gonna have a concert on Friday of the week we get back from fall break. I want you to have the songs memorized," she handed in a red folder. I opened and it was the song lyrics.

"I see...I'll memorize them then," I said with a small smile.

"Oh! Oppa! Can you help me with my math homework? I heard you're the star student!"

"Sure..It's not a big deal." I help Seojin with her math homework. We talked and time passed by very quickly. It was 6:17 Pm, people were leaving the cafe as it is to be close by 7:30.

"Thanks for all your help today!" She smiles while holding her folders.

"It's no big deal..If you need help, you can always count on me," I blurt our without thinking. She nod rapidly. As I was getting things in my folder, I heard the bell ring and giggles from the door.

"Eh..? Isn't that Kai?" Seojin said. I turn my head from my folders and saw Jongin with a beautiful girl. They were linked together, their finger intertwine. They sat at a far table, away from us.

I watched them. I felt my stomach hurt and my head dizzy. I hated it. Who is she? Why is she with him? Why is he with her? I'm so confused.

I took Seojin's hand and immediately ran out the cafe hoping Jongin didn't notice. I let go of her hand and we walked in silent.

"I didn't know she was back all ready...He must be so happy," Seojin broke the silent with the news that surprised me.

"Who is she..?" I asked...But a part of me already knew who she is or might be.

"That's Krystal! His ex-girlfriend. I heard she went to study abroad during her freshmen year, but now she is back/. I didn't know they were still together...I thought their was a rumor they broke up," She shrug.

So that was Krystal...She truly is beautiful. They fit perfectly together."This...is how it should be."

"Hm? What should What be?" Seojin tilt her head as she walked closely beside me.

"Jongin and Krystal make a cute couple don't they? And I'm sure Jongin is happy having someone like Krystal...Right?" I said. That's right. Jongin isn't mine to begin with...Right? He belongs to Krystal..Ugh. I'm such an idiot.

"You're right!"

"Well, It's getting late..See you around." I waved Seojin goodbye and walked home. The image of Jongin and Krystal kept invading me head and I couldn't erase it.

Why am I so afraid to lose you even when you're not even mine?

After Krystal came back...What am I To Jongin? What am I now? The only word that came to mine was.....Replacement.
