Mark thanked her for her help and then Kristan got back into the car, They buckled their seatbelts and away they went. Kristan had a hold of the book.
They started heading toward the village. It was far, far away from where they were.
Mark turned on the radio and some old songs came on that came out from a year ago. Mark started singing like an idiot. Kristan laughed a little from it, then Kristan's favorite song came on.
"Wise men say, Only fools rush in." Kristan sang in a soft voice. She loved this song and she forgot Mark was even there.
Kristan finished and smiled at Mark. He was silent. He looked back at the gravel road and continued driving. Mark had a smile on his face. Kristan stared down at the book and smiled too.
