I go to sleep. I am worn out from the doctors office. I fall asleep instantly.
I woke up to horrible pain. It felt like my life was ending.
"Mommy!" I yell. My voice seems more kiddier than how it is now. The door swings open. My parents turn on the light and rush to my side. As I curl into a little ball. I remember this.
"Call an ambulance!" My mom says scared. My dad rushes to the phone and dials 911. After a while the ambulance arrives.
"A young female about six or seven is having pains and feels warm. Temperature is.." Then I hear a ring and can no longer hear. I get a glimpse of my mom crying. My dad hugging her close. After a long darkness I wake up to whiteness. I am in the hospital. Doctor Fields stands by my side.
"Hello April. I'm doctor Fields. Your pains have caused you to hurt a lot huh." She says.
"Yeah." I say.
"Well I am going to do my best to help you okay. Mr and Mrs. Matthews may I speak to you in the hallway?" She asks.
"Sure." My dad says.
"We will be right outside call us if you need us." My mom says. I nodd my head yes. They keep the door open. I listen in.
"I am so sorry to say this, especially about a little kid but, your daughter has cancer. Those pains was the growth of it. Without treatment, it will continue to grow." Doctor Fields says. My head goes blank. Then pain strikes again. I go into a ball immediately.
"Owww Mommy!" I scream. The doctor and my parents rush in.
"She needs treatment now!" Doctor Fields yells. Nurses rush in and wheel me away. The pain grows worse. My eyes close. My hearing fades. But I hear a voice.
"Dear God don't take her! She is just a kid! I love you April! Be strong, be brave! You can fight it!" It....it was my mom. She took it the hardest. Her little girl.
