The nurse comes in usually around six o'clock in the morning to check up on my and take down my vitals and ect. I sit in the chair next to my bed. I look at my messy self. Examine all the wires and gadgets that surround me. Some that I have never seen before. I look at my hand. I felt the urge to hold it. I hold my hand and then saw darkness. I hear beeping. Am I dead? Or am I alive? I felt heaviness near my eyes. I pry my eyes open. The nurse looks with tears in her eyes.
"April! Oh my god! Thank you god!" She says crying for joy. She walks out of the room. My throat feels like there is a lump in it. Oh wait, thats the giant tube in my throat. Who knew something that is suppose to help can hurt so badly. Then a ton of people flood in like a waterfall. Another battle I overcame. I am lucky. Really lucky. How I did it that I am not quite so sure. After a ton of people and by people I mean specialists. All trying to figure me out. Please be my guest.
