I seem to be fitting in. I like school and Callie has been a great friend to me. Today is my second day of school and I can't wait to see Callie! We have our meeting spot over by the tree in the front of the school. I wait for her and felt the urge to look over my shoulder. I turn my head and see a guy sitting on the stairs looking at me. I turn back around and then back at him. We are a great distance apart. I feel my stomach acting weird and turn away.
"Hey!" Callie says.
"Hi." I say. We hug.
"C'mon lets get to class. Don't want to be late." She says.
"Uh....yeah...sure." I say trying to gather my thoughts. We walk by the strange guy.
"Are you okay?" Callie asks.
"Yeah..I..I'm fine...who...who..was that guy...onnn..the stairs?" I ask studdering.
"Oh that's Matt Jacobs. He is a troublemaker so watch out for him." She says.
"I like it when people want people to watch out for me. I got to talk to your friend. Alone." He says. I freeze.
"I'll catch you later April." Callie says and walks away.
"It's April huh?" He says. I avoid eye contact. "Not much of a talker are ya?" I say nothing. "We'll see." He says and walks away. I go to class. The entire day I felt...like I was being watched. Every where I went I saw him. I made sure that there were people around so I wasn't alone.
