Traci has transformed my room into a cool teenage girl bedroom with hanging lights and a radio and desk. Your basic teen bedroom. If it weren't for her I wouldn't have gotten out of that funk that I was in. I am more positive. I an starting to feel better. It has been four months and I still haven't gotten any visitors. But at this point I don't care. I turn on the radio and then I hear a buzz. I look around and I can't remember what it was for. I open my curtains and my parents, Callie, and Matt came. My parents look like they won a million bucks. Callie looks a bit older and Matt has changed. I sit down and my parents sit down and Matt and Callie sit down in the chairs off to the side. My parents hold up the white board.
'Honey, we have to tell you something'
I can't recognize my own mother's handwriting, it's so fancy.
'What is it'
'Your father's business has been succeeding so we are not able to visit you as often'
My heart breaks. My memory comes rushing back to when I was little and I was learning how to write. My dad had to go to work but stayed and helped me write letters while my mom taught me how to write numbers. He didn't care if he was late he spent time with me and mom. Reality brings me back. I start crying.
'But...you told me you would visit all the time'
'Things change and the bills don't pay for themselves'
'Just leave! I don't recognize you guys anymore!'
They leave without explanation or trying to resolve the problem. They are monsters. Callie sits down.
'Hey' she writes
'Hi' I write happy to finally see her and I am hoping that she will cheer me up.
'I haven't been visiting because I am a cheerleader now and I have been focusing on school to get into a better college'
'That's great I hope you get into a great college'
'Thanks I have to tell you something that you will probably not like'
More bad news? Great. Just what I need.
'What is it?'
'I have been so busy lately and I don't think I can see you anymore sorry'
'Leave!'
'I am so sorry April but ever since you left I needed to distract myself and you didn't want me hurting'
'Just leave! I don't expect anything from you!'
She gets up and Matt sits. Does he have bad news?
'Hey' He writes.
'Hi' I write.
We write back and forth a while.
'I don't think I can date you anymore'
'What do you mean'
'I can't do this anymore'
'You know what I hope you all realize that your all monsters. I wanted you guys to be happy but this isn't you gusy being happy'
'Who are you to judge your the one wanting us to not be upset about you and once we actually get out of the funk that we all have been since you left now your not happy about it'
'You don't understand'
'Maybe I don't but you have changed'
'No I haven't and your an asshole and my parents are stuck up and Callie is a trader. So fuck off all of you!' I shut my curtains and turn my back against them. I cry and slowly turn around crying. I open them back up and I see the old them. The ones that used to be so happy to see me fade away as they walk away. My heart is left in broken pieces.
