Equius X Reader {12DOO}

December 26-12 Days of Oneshots Day Two

Your POV

"C'mon Eq! I wanna play in the snow!"

"You're such a child."

"Yes, now snow!"

He sighed and followed you to your front door. The two of you pulled on hats, scarves, gloves, and boots and marched out the door.

"I love snow!" You screamed as you fell face first into a snow drift.

"You're going to catch cold."

"Spoil sport."

You pulled him down into the snow and he sat with a sour look on his face. You balled up some snow and dropped it on top of his head.

"Hey!"

You doubled over in laughter. Equius grabbed a handful of snow and dropped it on your face. You sputtered and coughed as the snow went into your mouth.

"Oh come on! That's it!"

The snowballs were soon flying through the air and your cheeks were flushed from running around your yard.

"Okay, okay, truce!"

He stood up from his hiding spot behind you, and jumped onto you, knocking you into the snow.

"HEY! I called a truce!"

He laughed and helped you up. His face was plastered with an uncharacteristically wide smile. He leaned down and kissed your cheek. You scowled playfully at him, but your face quickly broke into a soft smile.

"I love you."

You blushed, "I love you, too."

He smiled and leaned down to kiss you, softly. As he moved the snow began to fall again and you were surrounded in a flurry of white.  The kiss was warm and soft and his hands rested gently on your cheeks. 

You separated slightly and looked into each others' eyes.

"We should go inside. It is getting colder out here. I can't have you catching a cold," Equius said as he led you inside.

He pushed you down on the living room couch and retreated into the hall. He returned with a armful of blankets that he proceeded to pile on top of you. He then walked into the kitchen and you sank into the pile of blankets. Equius returned with two steaming mugs in his grasp. One he handed to you and the other he set on the end table next to you.

"Want to watch a movie?"

You nodded and he walked over to the shelf of movies. 

"What do you want to watch?"

You shrugged and he pulled The Black Stallion off the shelf. You had seen it no less than a hundred times, but it was his favorite movie so it was fine.

He put it in the DVD player and hit the necessary buttons to start it. You held out your arms and he walked to you and shoved the blankets around so that he could sit down. You curled into his side and he wrapped an arm around your shoulder. He stared at the screen contently and you swear you saw him mouth the lines of the movie as it progressed.

About halfway through the movie your eyes began to droop and Equius took your mug and set it down on the end table. He kissed the top of your head and pulled you closer to him.

"Go to sleep, darling."

You nodded your head slightly and rested it on his shoulder and let your eyes shut.

"I love you," you heard him whisper as you drifted off.

AN: I hope you enjoyed this. I am sorry it is going out so late. I have been with family all day. I am starting tomorrow's right now so I can get it out more promptly tomorrow.
