A santa named Namjoon

Namjoon took out his car keys "it's extra chilly today compared to last year" he muttered to himself as he started the engine and started driving. Christmas jingles are playing outside and he can faintly hear the laughter of children playing in the snow. The warmth of Namjoon's scarf and the happy scenery outside sent a smile on his lips, today is indeed a wonderful day.

He stopped by the parking lot of a mall, went out of his car and walked to the glass door "too much people" he said as he looked at the massive number of people inside. Nevertheless, he waltzed in like a happy little kid. He went straight to the toy store and started putting random things in his cart "this is my favorite part of the day" Namjoon said with a smile continuing with his shopping spree. After paying for the things he bought, he went to the gift wrapping section to wrap each and every one of the things he just bought.

And soon enough, he found himself stuffing everything in his car's trunk "heavy, but worth it" Namjoon said who then proceeded to drive to a certain place.

"It's Joonie!!" Namjoon immediately heard as he went out of his car "Joonie! We missed you!" a little girl said as she went to Namjoon "hey Somi, how are you?" Namjoon asked her "I'm doing fine!" Somi exclaimed. Namjoon carried Somi and went inside. There more exclaims of excitement were heard as they saw Namjoon "good to see everyone's doing great" Namjoon said, putting Somi down. The children all sat down as Namjoon went back to his car to get all of the gifts he bought

"Merry Christmas Joonie!" The children said as Namjoon went back "Merry Christmas everyone! Now let's line up properly" Namjoon said then watched as the children lined up properly as told. Namjoon then started to hand out the gifts to the children with a smile.

Namjoon was about to give the next gift but his hands stopped "hey where's mine?" Namjoon was speechless at the words of the boy standing infront of him. Namjoon then regained his composure and smiled "I do hand out gifts... but to the orphans only" he said at the nicely dressed boy looking in his twenties "but I am an orphan" the boy insisted as he pouted infront of Namjoon 'what the fuck is even happening?' Namjoon thought still refusing to give a gift to this boy "well you don't look like one so I can't" Namjoon said then the boy lightly pushed Namjoon and ran away. Namjoon faced the children opening the gifts and felt someone tugging the end of his sweater "hey Somi, is there something wrong?" Namjoon asked "why did Jinnie ran away?" Somi asked "Jinnie?" Namjoon asked back

"Jinnie, the guy who ran away just now" Somi explained but still was confusing Namjoon "why do you know him?" Namjoon asked "well he's staying with us" Somi said "is he an orphan as well?" Namjoon asked, feeling a bit nervous. Somi nodded and it was enough for Namjoon to go after this Jinnie person 'I said something terrible to him!' Namjoon thought was looking for Jinnie. There he almost bumped to an acquaintance "oh sorry Jimin" Namjoon said as he stopped running "hello Namjoon, what's the fuss about?" Jimin asked "actually I'm looking for Jinnie" Namjoon said "Jinnie?" Jimin asked "Jinnie, that boy in his twenties, the nicely dressed boy" Namjoon explained. Jimin suddenly laughed "you mean Jin?" Jimin asked holding his tummy out of laughter "w-well Somi told me it was Jinnie so.." Namjoon said

Jimin then regained his composure "so, why're you looking for him?" Jimin asked "well he wanted a gift from me and I refused to give him one since he didn't look like an orphan to me" Namjoon explained "wow, you're sharp" Jimin said "what do you mean?" Namjoon asked "well he is staying with us but he's not actually an orphan" Jimin said "he looked quite extravagant to be an orphan right?" he added earning a nod from Namjoon "why is he staying with you then?" Namjoon asked "he actually ran away from home and Jungkook found him then took him here" Jimin explained "he refused to go home no matter what we said" then Jimin sighed "I don't mind him staying here but his family must be worried about him" he added "so can you please talk to him? I know you can persuade him one way or another" Jimin finished then patted Namjoon's shoulder 'I can't decline now right?' Namjoon thought "alright, I'll try to talk to him" he said

Namjoon knocked on a certain door 'Jimin told me he's staying here' Namjoon thought opening the door "hey Jin" Namjoon said as he saw the one he's looking for, sitting on the couch beside the window, looking outside "sorry for uhm, saying those things a while ago. I must've hurt your feelings" Namjoon said drawing nearer at Jin who remained quiet "anyways, the gifts a while ago, they were all children's toys so even if I give you one, you'd have no use of it" Namjoon explained and thought of something when he noticed Jin shiver a little "so I'll give this to you instead" Namjoon said as he removed his scarf then wrapped it around Jin's neck, surprising Jin.

"You look great on it" Namjoon said making Jin face him "oh you finally looked at me" Namjoon said with a warm smile "I heard you ran away from home?" Namjoon asked making Jin avert his eyes from Namjoon "hey, did you know why I give gifts here every year?" Jin shook his head "I'm actually an orphan as well. My parents left me here when I was 2 years old" Jin suddenly looked at Namjoon again with teary eyes "but I didn't held a grudge on them, if anything, I would always pray for their good health and such" Namjoon said then softly chuckled "anyways, I just want to tell you how lucky you are to have a family waiting for you back at home. They must be worried about you—" Namjoon abruptly ended his words when he saw Jin was already crying. "Hey now, there's no need to cry" Namjoon said while wiping Jin's tears with the sleeves of his sweater.

"So why did you run away?" Namjoon asked when Jin was already calm "my parents wanted me to attend a marriage interview and I refused but they insisted so I ran away so I wouldn't have to go" Jin shyly said "that's something really serious" Namjoon said "but somehow, I missed them. It's just that, I'm scared that they will still force the interview on me" Jin said "do you want me to help explain to them?" Namjoon asked "can you?" Jin asked and suddenly Namjoon held Jin's face "now, will you contact your family?" Jin nodded "and s-sorry" "why are you apologizing?" Namjoon asked with a smile "I caused trouble here" Jin said "what trouble?" The two of them heard someone speak "Jin's presence here was never trouble" Jimin said then smiled.

A car honk was heard outside, it was Jin's parents. Namjoon went out with Jin, in accordance to his plan. "Hey what's the plan?" Jin whispered "just go with the flow, I'll take the lead" Namjoon whispered back.

"Jin! You got me worried sick!" his mom said as she hugged him "sorry mom" Jin said. When she let go, she held Jin's shoulder "so, when should we attend the interview?" she asked making Jin pissed again but Namjoon quickly pulled him away from his mother's grasp "good afternoon ma'am my name is Namjoon and I apologize but Jin can't attend any interview like that anymore" Namjoon said with a smile confusing both Jin and his parents "because I'm dating him" Namjoon added that was soon followed by silence.

Jin smiled at his parents then turned his back on them, holding Namjoon's arm "what the heck was that!?" Jin whispered "well, I can't think of any other way to convince them" Namjoon whispered back "what if it won't work?" Jin whispered "I'll forcefully kidnap you I guess?" Namjoon replied confusing Jin "what the—"

"Is it true?" Jin flinched when they heard Jin's mom speak "Jin honey, is it true that you're dating this man?" she asked once again. Jin felt sweat trickling down his face even if it's quite cold outside and without any warning, Namjoon pulled him in for a kiss. Jin's parent's we're left speechless by Namjoon's actions "is that enough of a proof for you ma'am or should I call you mom?" Namjoon asked with a smirk. Jin was holding his lips, blushing tremendously who then looked at his parents who were smiling "if that's the case, then we won't have to worry right?" she said to the two of them "please take care of my son" she told Namjoon "he's in good hands mom" Namjoon assured her "it feels nice having another son" she said then lightly hit her husband's arm repeatedly "well don't forget to contact us alright?" she said to her son then she boarded the car and drove away without Jin

"Hey! Why did they leave me?!" Jin asked then looked at Namjoon "and do you have any idea what you just—" Namjoon suddenly pulled Jin's scarf and kissed him once again. Namjoon pulled away "but it worked right?" Namjoon asked "ha? Which part worked?" Jin asked covering his lips "besides you don't even like me so what's the point?" Jin added "I like you though" Namjoon replied sternly. Jin looked at Namjoon and blushed "what kind of idiot likes someone that easily?" Jin asked making Namjoon chuckle. He held Jin's hands and placed them on his face "this idiot" Namjoon said with a warm smile that made Jin blush yet again.
