But my train came before yours.

But you were too selfish to let your guard down.
We almost made love.
But sadly your friend needed you to get his car out of a ditch so you left.
We almost made it.
But another girl from your work caught your eye in a way I hadn't in a while.
Almost is one of the worst words in the English language.
Almost hurts more than
Did
Or
Never.
