I got bombarded with question after question from the innocent skeleton, the complete opposite of Nightmare. It annoyed me but it also made me smile lightly as I answered his questions- being as vague as possible. 'They must not know that I know Nightmare and they can't know I work with him- my cover will be blown to bits if I do....' I thought.
After seemingly forever Ink decided to end this madness of never ending questions, "Blue, I think that's enough questions for now, she seems to be getting tired!" He smiled and chuckled, and I smiled at hin thankfully and nodded my head silently.
"Let me make sure I have your names correct," I said, "your Ink correct?" The painter skeleton nodded and waved. "Hello!" He said. "Your definitely the 'Magnificent Sans' or Blue." The energetic blueberry nodded and jumped up excitedly. "And lastly, your Dream Sans, correct?" He smiles at me, waves, and nodded. But I felt like something was off, he was seemingly quiet the entire time, he seemed to be studying me, did he know??
He continued to look at me, but he looked like he was... concerned? Nightmare told me Dream was his brother, the brother that betrayed him. What I have learned is that you can't trust anybody, not even your family. They will betray then leave you. I knew from experience. 'If only I wasn't a freak....' I thought. 'Then maybe I could actually have friends- and maybe even trust some people, or someone. If I could then... I would finally know true happiness.'
I frowned lightly, and the skeletons looked concerned. "UM, HUMAN? ARE YOU ALRIGHT?" Blueberry said, god, that attitude is what will kill him in the end, but I still responded. "Oh, yes I am fine! Just remembering that I have work due next week, I can do it later though!" I smiled cheerfully, but behind the facade I was asking a million questions per minute. But I also wanted something...*I AM FILLED WITH H O P E
I looked over to Ink, he smiled cheerfully at you, his smile wasn't a facade. "How do you do it?" I accidentally mumbled out. "Huh? Do what?" The painter asked. "Oh, nothing! Just thinking out loud! Sorry if I appear only halfway in the real world, I just have a lot of my mind," I technically wasn't lying there, "but I do hope that we become great friends!" That was the lie. But they bought it, all three of them.
"SO DO I HUMAN! WE WILL BECOME THE CLOSEST OF FRIENDS!" The 'cinnamon bun' stated. "Yeah! We are going to become great friends! I know so!" The Nightmare betrayer said, I rolled your eyes internally. "Yeah, I know we will become very close!" The painter said. C l o s e . . . The word intrigued me, but I just pushed it to the back of my mind.
I was about to say something else, but then I started getting a call from an unknown number. "Oh, I'm sorry, I need to puck this up you guys!" I lied, but then they all said 'okay' and 'alright,' so you answered. "Are you almost done? Don't get attached." It was Nightmare. "I won't, is it an emergency?" I was trying to make it sound like I wasn't talking to Dream's brother, so I spat random nonsense. "What do you mean ' Is it an emergency'?" "Is it?" I paused. "Oh no! I'll be right there! I am so sorry!" "What? What the hell are you talking about?"
Nightmare must be so oblivious. "I'll be right there, bye!" I hung up, I know I will regret that later, but right now I didn't care. "Guys, I am so sorry-" Dream interrupted me. "You have to go?" "Yes.." I acted sad. "WHY? WHY CAN'T YOU STAY?" Blueberry whined.
"I'm sorry, I promise I will visit, and if it makes you feel any better, I can write down my phone number for you three so that we can get in contact!" They all agreed, happy to be able to chat with me, but why? Oh well. I wrote down my phone number on a piece of paper, told them to 'call me!' Then left. The only thing running through my head was; 'Why would they actually want to talk to me? Maybe they just didn't want to be rude. Oh well....'
