((* Maybe this is disappointing, but this is what I've been working on for so many days. It's long compared to the other chapters, I should assume :$ *))

"Please, Double D, I need you to do this for me! I have to get my grades up or I'm off the team, and I've never gotten to go on that special top-50 field trip," Kevin pleaded, practically on his knees (but not really) at Edds doorstep.

"My parents are out of town! I was instructed not to have guests inside the house for extended periods of time without their presence."

"Aren't they usually out of town? What's it matter? They won't know."

"I'll know."

"Okay, fine, it's whatever Double D," Kevin said and turned to walk away.

"Well, wait! If you're really serious about making it into the top 50 students from...your current ranking...I'm sure my parents will understand. They encourage me to teach others the importance of hard work and-"

"Yeah, yeah. Thanks Dweeby. Three P.M. tomorrow?" Kevin said, cutting him off before he went into a 30 minute lecture on goals and how the current life-expectancy was only 61 years old, so they should always try their hardest and blah blah blah.

Edd huffed a bit, running his tongue across his braces, "Fine, 3:00. You should try your best to make it on time, but if you don't, that's alright. I'll make something for lunch, if you want to come by a bit earlier..." he looked down at the doormat, at Kevins red canvas shoes, then back up at the red-head's face, "What would you like to have?"

You. "I don't really care, I'll eat anything. Just...whatever you want. Mans gotta eat," Kevin said, "You know, I was gonna dare you to take your hat off the other day... but I'm glad I didn't."

"Hm? Oh, that... Well, I appreciate that you changed your mind."

They stood in awkward silence for a few moments before Edd blew out a sigh, "Bye now, Kevin."

~approximately 24 hours later~

"So, if you calculate this correctly, the distance from earth to the nearest neighboring galaxy is 2,538,000 light years! Isn't that amazing!?" Edd said excitedly.

"Uh...sure...whatever," Kevin said, writing down all the gibberish on Edd's paper as notes.

"Do you know the name of said galaxy?"

"Nope," He answered, putting emphasis on the p.

"It's the Andromeda Galaxy," Edd said dreamily, looking out his window, "I wish that we could see it as more than a constellation, it would make wonderful pictures."

"If we could see it, we'd be used to it. You wouldn't care."

"You've got a point, Kevin!" Double D said, pointing through the window at the clouds, "it would be about as interesting as clouds. Something we see everyday."

Kevin raised an eyebrow, laying on his back on the floor, "I hate studying, Double Dork. Let's take a break."

"We'll have a ten minute break, then. Would you like anything to eat or to drink?" Edd asked, standing up from the floor and opening the bedroom door.

Kevin was still a little bothered by how spotless the house was, and how empty it felt. He wondered how Edd could stand being here alone so often, it seemed like it would be eerie at night. "Uhh, sure, I guess. I'm not that hungry, so I'll just get a drink," he said, standing.

"No, I'll get it for you. What would you like?"

"What do you got?" Kevin asked, sitting back down on the weird pillow that was apparently meant for floors.
