Chapter 2 Vaguely Random
"Yo Fong," Kalem said puffing some smoke into Evan's face making him grimace.
He definitely didn't want his breath in his face anytime soon.
"What is it Kalem," Evan said puffing his own breath of smoke.
He really needed this.
"How's Nate? Is he gonna join anytime soon," Kalem joked making Evan roll his eyes.
"Nate is fine; he always worrying over nothing," Evan said.
"That's what good family does. Look out for ya when you don't want it. That's my little sister too," Kalem said smoking his cigarette.
"Fuck family you don't need em. Surviving on your own is what makes you a man," a guy who goes by the name Sync said as he lit his cigarette.
"That's because you don't have family ya nimrod," Liam said as he relaxed on the couch they had.
They were currently in a warehouse that could only be accessed through the alley. It was their main headquarters since anybody had rarely used the place. Currently the smoke from the cigarettes surrounded the room; nicotine fresh in the air for the people who don't smoke but like to breathe it in.
"My family is alright. They don't really care what I do," Richie said as he counted the money.
Evan shook his head and thought about his gang. It wasn't a big gang but no one usually messed with them unless they wanted to get their ass kicked. They were mocked by the older men but were worshiped by the younger gangs. There was Kalem who was the boss. He knew the inside out of some of the gangs in the city and could always provide for the people. Evan was his second command knowing him since the second grade.
Evan would do anything for Kalem. This is his best friend and Kalem would do anything for him as well. Then theirs the tech guy Sync. He isn't called Sync for a reason. He's joined the gang 2 years ago when Kalem has saved him from another gang. Now he hacks accounts to find blackmail to use against other people. Sync himself hasn't hacked into their lives but the curiosity is overwhelming so he starts with Kalem.
Now Liam is a strange one. He randomly came up to Kalem and asked to join. It was just Kalem and Evan at the time. They didn't even answer as he just sat with them and ate his lunch. It just happened and they had to accept it. Richie is Kalem's cousin. He handled the money and the darker side of the business. It was the 5 of them and then of course the lackeys that each person are in charge of.
"Of course cause I'm your family," Kalem said throwing a cigarette bud at Richie.
"Aren't we all family in a way," Liam said starting his own cigarette.
"Better than my family ever could be," Evan mumbled as a knock was heard.
"Ayyy Shawn glad you could make it," Kalem said letting their tattoo artist inside.
"Yeah yeah who wants one this time," Shawn said setting up.
"I want one," Evan said sitting down in a chair next to him.
"Alright what do you want," Shawn said getting the needle ready.
Evan had several tattoos on his body already. Several were on his back completely hidden from his mother as she would probably kill him for even daring to blemish his own body. He had some skulls and several different ink tattoos. The most prominent one was a tattoo of Nate's name.
"I want an owl," Evan said randomly.
"Why an owl," Kalem asked as Evan rolled up his sleeve.
"Cause," Evan said as Shawn started.
When Evan had gotten his first tattoo he flinched so much as the needle pierced his skin; now he just stays calmly still as a new picture gets inked onto his arm. Evan watches as his family lounges around enjoying such a quiet day. He couldn't have asked for a better group of friends.
Sorry this took me so long to put this out. I've been reading fan fictions all this time and so this seems so rushed to me. Bleh I'm not good at this lol. I also have been watching Yugioh because the show is amazing and I'm so gay for shipping them lol.
With lots of love 💛
