‘You ask me where I want to be and I say take a look around and tell me where you think I want to be. I'll tell you where I want to be, cause where I want to be is here. When the dream ceases and I'm back in bed, no matter the consequences and the miles of my tired legs. You're where I want to be.’ – Riley May – I’m Yours
“Baby?” Chad murmured into the side of my neck, his arms wrapped tightly around my waist as my eyes danced across all the glossy covers.
“Mmmm?” I hummed back, transfixed by what was in front of me and yet still my lips still twitched at him calling me baby, I prayed that those sweet words didn’t disappear any time soon at all.
“I’m just going to go get us some doughnuts alright? I’ll be right back in a moment, is there anything in particular you want?” he asked roughly as he planted a dozen little butterfly kisses against the side of my throat making me only giggle and squirm ticklish.
I shrugged giggling “Surprise me.”
“Alright, can do.” He chuckled pressing one final kiss to my throat and giving me a loving squeeze as he let go and turned around.
“Oh!” I cried turning around.
“Changed your mind?” he asked turning back to me chuckling with an amused smile.
I shook my head “No, I just forgot to say I love you.” I murmured still shyly as I brushed my lips against his.
Chad smiled into the kiss “I love you too baby.” He murmured softly before letting go and leaving out the shop’s front door.
I smiled giddy with sheer happiness as I turned back around to the videos games before my eyes. I was so happy with everything in my life right now, our very first day was nearly just a week ago and today I was finally catching up with the rest of our gang and band (Luce and Brent) as I finally decided I couldn’t keep Chad all time myself forever. Chad’s parents were already insisting I’d come around, they were acting as if we’d never even met but they were just as excited as my dad was. Everyone was just so happy with us that they wanted to celebrate with us, the only ones that didn’t know yet were Luce and Brent and it honestly made me nervous about today.
It however didn’t make me as nervous as it did knowing that today we were going to meet Brittany and some of the other important people she worked with as we were all going to have a meeting and all of us were going to discuss and decide on whether we wanted this. Our parents were even going to be sat down and talked to without us since all of us weren’t of legal age and as we were being constantly reminded school – especially since this year was our final year – was our first and main priority. If we ended up all agreeing on the terms and conditions we were going to sign a yearlong contract to work with Brittany and her club for an entire year with extra little perks for both sides of us.
I frowned pursing my lips as I scanned all the games I could possibly buy for Chad as a present, he’d been treating me so much lately with my ukulele we still couldn’t decide on a name for, our dates and just simply how utterly sweet he was being. He claimed he was just so happy he could actually show how he felt and treasure and spoil me like he’s always wanted too. I thought it was time for me to return the favor and spoil him back just as much or even just a thank you present and I knew how much he loved his games just like any other guy.
“If you were a guy, what would be the best game here to go for?” a voice beside me asked.
I gasped, jumping startled as I clutched my chest as it raced a mile a minute.
“Oh.” She cried, fighting back laughter “I’m sorry! I thought you knew I was standing beside you!” she explained, giving me a sympathetic and yet also apologetic glance.
