As he entered the portal, Dominic instantly recognised it as the one he had come up in. He looked around, to see his team slowly fading, and he realised that they were probably moving to their own tunnels. Not wanting them to be separated, he reached his arms out to see if he could reach Emilia or Baby. Both his hands grabbed hold of a jacket, and he pulled the them in closer to him. A few seconds later they flew out of the golden circle at the end of the tunnel and started heading straight towards the ground in the strangely coloured world they were in. That was until Dominic felt something grab onto his suit pulling him up. He held onto the jackets tightly, then slowly descended, until they were all dropped from about half a metre from the ground. He looked upwards just in time to see dirty white feathers before his entire world went white. Then his vision returned, and he was in place that looked strange, but felt somewhat familiar. He was back on earth.
"Where the heck did these guys come from?" spoke an accented voice from nearby. He recognised the accent as american, but a southern accent, like from texas. The voice was female, and he was fairly sure it had come from a teenager. "Ugh" Dominic rubbed his eyes, and got up from the floor. He looked around for the source of the voice, and his eyes met a pair of brown eyes, lighter than his own, but still fairly dark. "Hi there" said the girl "Are y'all okay?". "Um, yeah, I think so. Why do you ask?" Dominic said as he took a step back to look at her properly. She was slim white girl, slightly tanned, around 5 foot 9 inches tall. She had faint freckles on her cheeks and chest length chestnut brown hair with bangs. "Oh my gosh you're british!" exclaimed the girl "Y'all just sorta appeared here, in a pile on the floor. Also there's a dove circling your head, I just thought you might want to know". Dominic looked up and, sure enough, there was a dove flying around "Faye?". The dove didn't say anything, just made a "Coo" sound. The dove landed on his shoulder, and he knew it was Faye. Faye then nuzzled his cheek with the top of her head and flew away.
"Oh, that's my um, pet dove. Yes, pet! Her name is Faye. Sorry, can I just ask, where are we?" "Um, we're at the Sam Houston Jones State Park?" "Park? Where? Like the general area. Give me a name I'd know" "Um, okay, we're in LA" "Los Angeles?" "No, Louisiana. The real LA" "Ohh, the southern accent makes sense then" "Yeah. Who are you? Why do you not know where you are? Also what are your friends doing?" "My friends!". Dominic looked down to the ground to see Baby and Emilia sprawling around, grabbing at the grass. "You two, get up!" he said as he kicked them lightly. They both immediately shot up, Baby started to cuss him out "Don't bloody kick me you stupid-", Emilia stopped her with an elbow to the ribs "Look". Baby turned to look at the girl "Oh, hey" "Hey there". Dominic spoke again "Our...friend here was just telling me that we're in Louisiana" "Louisiana? Like in America?" "Yes, Baby. Obviously. What other Louisiana is there? Jeremy will sin this" "Jeremy? Huh?" "Don't worry". Dominic turned back to the girl, who still looked fairly confused. He decided to just be honest "Let's start again. Hi, I'm Dominic. The idiot is my best friend Baby, and the other one is my younger sister, Emilia" "B-A-B-Y, Baby?" "Yeah, her mum was a weirdo" the girl gave a small laugh at that. "My name is Sophie Eileen, nice to meet y'all. Can I just say I love your accents?!" said the girl, and Emilia laughed and replied "Thanks".
"So my other question? Why didn't you know where we are? Also what's with your strange clothes, Dominic?" said Sophie. Dominic looked down at himself to realise he was still wearing his field suit. "This? This is my uniform" he told her, "Uniform for what?" "Sophie, are you religious? Like, do you believe in like heaven and angels and stuff?" "Um, yeah. I'm a christian" "Okay well," Dominic picked his orb up from the floor and tapped it so it changed him into his training kit "I think we were sent to you for a reason. But I think we should find somewhere to sit down before we explain. We've been through alot and my legs are aching" "Um, okay. I live like five minutes walk away. My parents are out so we won't have to worry about them asking questions" "Great".
