After calling a taxi, I eventually made it to the YG building where I assumed Taehyung would have headed. I tried to call him, but he wouldn't pick up despite the many attempts I made. My driver had been incredibly because of the icy roads, so I had no idea if Taehyung was already at the YG building or if he had gone straight to Yejin's dorm. I seriously hoped she had never taken him to his dorm.
I paid my driver and hopped out of the cab. I then hurried towards the front door as fast as I could go. Who knows how I didn't kill myself from running in highheels, but when I reached the front steps and off the icy pavement I started sprinting. I flung open the doors and marched into the building.
My eyes scanned the lobby for Taehyung. To my surprise, I easily spotted him in front of the welcoming desk. But, his encounter with the staff seemed to be anything but friendly.
"Why the hell won't you let me see Yejin?", He growled, his fist coming to slam on the oak wood desk.
She flinched, but held firm on her stance.
"For the last time, you aren't allowed to see our trainees."
I rushed towards him from across the lobby. Before he could speak again, I grabbed him by the arm.
"Taehyung.", I hissed into his ear.
The secretary's eyes flicked from Taehyung to me. They widened in recognition.
"Jisoo? What are you doing here with Kim Taehyung?"
"Minji," I sweetly spoke to the girl, "please, don't say anything about this to anyone." I next whipped my head to the side to whisper angrily to the boy by my side, "Taehyung, we need to leave, now."
Taehyung ripped his arm out of my grasp.
"No, if we leave now our careers our over. We need to talk to Yejin. I need to talk to Yejin. So.", Once again he glared at the poor girl behind the desk. "Let me see her."
Her eyes couldn't hold his stare so she glanced towards me. I was feeling desperate, and I'm sure it was written across my face. Atlast, she pursed her lips and pulled out her ID card.
"Use this to get into the training rooms. Leave as soon as you can before anyone notices you. And Jisoo, If I were you, I would get out of here as soon as you can. I wouldn't want YG to find you two together."
A smile burst through my lips.
"Thank you so much Minji! We should get coffee sometime."
I thanked her profusely before grabbing Taehyung by the arm and running for the elevators. The secretary returned to typing on her computer.
Once we entered the compact room, I clicked a button on the elevator. We were going to the basement floors, where YG kept his confidential trainees.
The wait wasn't too long, but it felt like an eternity. A few seconds in, Taehyung shifted uncomfortably besides me. I glanced to him questioningly.
"Are you nervous to see her again?"
"No, you're just squeezing my arm really tight.", He lightly chuckled.
I swiftly retracted my limb from his and stepped away from his body. I awkwardly cleared my throat, glancing to the ground because there was no where else to look.
However, I still felt his gaze burning into my face. When atlast I looked at him again, it seemed he wanted to say something. He opened his mouth to speak, but was interrupted by the dinging of the elevator. We had reached our destination.
"Let's go!", I shouted, running out of the elevator and escaping the awkward tension.
"Don't you think you should be more quiet?", He grumbled softly as he followed me into the hallway
