Legends [1] ▻ Sweet Pea

       Izzy woke up the next morning on the single couch in her living room with Sweet Pea fast asleep next to her. Izzy sighed as she lifted the arm Sweet Pea had around her. She couldn't find her shirt anywhere, so she picked up Sweet Pea's shirt and put it on.

      Izzy got up from the couch and made her way to the kitchen to make herself some coffee. She checked the time to see that it was ten a.m. Thank God it was the weekend.

     Izzy's attention went towards the couch she was sleeping on before when she heard Sweet Pea groan, "Morning." Izzy spoke up, making Sweet Pea's his eyes flutter open and look at her.

   "What happened last night?" Sweet Pea questioned, "I honestly don't remember a thing."

    Izzy chuckled as she walked over to Sweet Pea after getting a glass of water and aspirin for him, "Long story short; you were drunk and confessed your undying love for me to Toni at the Whyte Wyrm. I overheard and brought you back to my house to sober up and sleep it off. We had a heated moment and we almost kissed, but I sadly rejected you, telling you I did have feelings for you but I didn't want to get hurt and I didn't want to hurt you either. Ironically, about a minute later, we ended up making out and then slept together." Sweet Pea looked at Izzy shocked as she handed him the glass of water and aspirin, "It was a very eventful night."

     "Oh! And by the way, I heard a shower helps a hangover." Sweet Pea looked up at his friend with confused look to see her widely grinning. He knew exactly what she was hinting at.
He didn't expect that from her at all.

    Izzy quickly turned on the shower before stepping in. She quickly opened the shower curtain to look back at Sweet Pea, who was just standing there, "You coming or no, Sweets?" She questioned and Sweet Pea couldn't help but chuckle at her boldness.

    Sweet Pea slowly stepped into the shower with her. As he got in, Sweet Pea couldn't help but flinched at how cold the water was, "Jesus, Izzy, this water is fucking freezing."

   "What do you mean? It's fine." Izzy commented calmly, shrugging her shoulders. She didn't seem bothered by how cold the water was at all.

     "No, literally, it's like Antarctica in here," Sweet Pea replied calmly, "I'm just gonna turn the hot switch a little–"

      Izzy gasped at the hotness of the water, "Sweets, that's too hot! Are you trying to kill me! You're gonna burn me alive in here!" Izzy yelled at him and Sweet Pea couldn't help but laugh at her.

     "Oh, come on, Izzy. Don't exaggerate, it's only like a few degrees hotter than before—"

     Izzy shook her head quickly  and snatched Sweet Pea's hand away from the shower valve and changed the temperature back to cold, "No, let's just—"

    "Izzy, are you freakin' crazy?" Sweet Pea gasped at the sudden coldness again, "Are you trying to recreate the Titanic scene for the second time with me?"

Izzy looked up at Sweet Pea,  "Oh come on!" Izzy scoffed, crossing her arms, "We were five when that happened!"

     Sweet Pea shook his head, "Yeah, and you forced the both of us to go swimming at Sweetwater River in the dead of winter! I can't even drive past that river on my bike without shivering!"

   "Hey! At least Toni and my brothers got our parents before we could get hypothermia, I call that a win!" Izzy argued and the two started to laugh hysterically in the shower at that memory from their childhood.

    "How about we try and put the notch in the middle?" Sweet Pea questioned, grabbing Izzy's hand and putting it back on the shower valve. The two adjusted it together and finally found the perfect temperature, "There, see? teamwork."

  Izzy nodded as she slowly looked up at Sweet Pea, "Yeah, teamwork."

    Izzy couldn't help herself, she leaned up and kissed Sweet Pea. She pulled away for a moment to speak up, "I like you, Sweet Pea. I like you a lot." She admitted and Sweet Pea.

   "I like you a lot too." Sweet Pea replied, even though he honestly liked her a lot more than just a lot. He was honestly in love with his best friend, but he wouldn't admit that, that would probably just scare her away.

  Sweet Pea smirked as looked down to see both of Izzy's Serpent tattoos. She didn't just have one, she had two. One was on her right breast and the other one on her left forearm. She had always told him, if she was to get another one, it would be on her ribs. Sweet Pea trailed his fingers over the tattoo on her ribs. It was honestly huge. Almost
three times the size of the one he had on his neck. He remembered the the day they both went together to get their tattoos done. That day, Sweet Pea got the one on his neck and she got the one her ribs. Sweet Pea laughed to himself, thinking about how he winced in pain more than Izzy did.

    Sweet Pea looked down at Izzy after being in such deep thought and pulled Izzy in for another kiss, Izzy's back hit the cold wall and she slightly hissed at the feeling, "I thought you said you loved the cold, Izzy?" Sweet Pea mocked Izzy jokingly.

  "Screw you, Pea." She rolled her eyes, but still slightly smiled.

Sweet Pea loved this side of Izzy. The side of Izzy he didn't see much. The side of her that smiled and joked around. He had seen her smile more that day than he had her smile in a very long time. Was that all because of him?

AN: Just Thought I'd do a quick filler chapter before I write the latest episode. Idk why, but I found their bickering about the temperature of the shower kinda funny and more realistic.

I always read these shower scenes in stories and imagines where the pairs are always all lovey and dovey and no bickering at all. But honestly, in real life, there's tons of pairs in showers that fight over the water temperature.

Okay, I honestly don't know why I just ranted about that, but whatever 😂
