"Your purpose is to please the king... if he selects you, then you are to step forward while the rest are sent back. If you are not chosen, you will be given a gift for your troubles and sent back to your hometowns."

Arthur couldn't believe this... after all those tests and examinations, he still was sent. Was the king bisexual? He couldn't think straight, his mind was jumbled and he felt nauseated. The future was a mystery... a mystery he was nervous to discover.

He couldn't help but look around at all the beautiful women. They all wore long white robes that were identical with a blue flower crown. Arthur wore the same, though his robes didn't make him look as feminine as his favorite blue dress.

With a loud clack, the doors to the throne room opened and the line of women slowly moved in with their heads down. Arthur was fourth to last and there were about twenty-three including him who made it through all the tests.

Arthur could slightly make out the king from the back of the line, though he could only see a general image... no details. With a nervous swallow, he moved forward into the throne room during his turn, moving to his place and leaning forward into a bow.

The line was going vertical from the door to the throne with all the possible queens facing to the kings right, while standing on his left. Arthur was decently down the line, so he didn't think he had to worry about any of this. Plus he was a twenty-three year old male... not a twenty year old girl.

He sucked in a breath of air as footsteps echoed through the hall. The king was to decide now. With each second, Arthur felt himself getting dizzier and dizzier, whether it was because he was staying in a bow for so long, or because he was nervous, Arthur felt that he was about to fall over.

He heard the foot steps getting close and close before they stopped. "This ome..." He heard a voice say. Arthur looked over to see who the king had chosen, but to his surprise the king wasn't there. It wasn't until he looked up that he realized the king was in front of him.

Arthur stepped forward "I-I beg your pardon, your majesty... but I'm not a g-" "I know..." The king said with a calm smile.
