Arthur fixed his neckerchief in his mirror before putting on the small top hat Alfred had given him. All he knew was that they were meeting someone important, who could possibly help them out. The king had woken up early that morning and sent him back to his own room to get ready.
With a quick brush down his clothing he took one last look in the mirror and walked out of the room calmly. He remembered so many stories of how difficult it was to be royalty, but so far it wasn't so bad. Yes it took a bit of getting used to, but he was already learning how to act like a proper queen.
As he gracefully strutted down the hall someone accidentally ran into him, both of them colliding and falling over. Arthur looked up to see Alfred fumbling around for his glasses "Erm... I'm sorry, Alfred... are you ok?" He asked while tried to help find the glasses. Alfred looked up quickly "O-oh! Queen Arthur! N-no... I'm not Alfred!" He murmured as he put his glasses on.
Not Alfred stood up and helped Arthur stand "I am Matthew... the Ace of Spades!" He said with a bow. This is the war general? Arthur thought as he stared at Matthew with wide eyes. The Ace laughed nervously "I get that look a lot. Yes, I am the king's general of war. I've been told I'm different on the battlefield, and on ice... sorry! You're probably off to meet the Joker aren't you?"
Arthur looked confused "The Joker?" He asked while cocking his head at Matthew. With a smile Matthew began gently pulling Arthur down the hall "The Joker and the Kingdom of Hearts are here... they're going to hold a meeting with the king and the future queen, you. Ah! But I'm probably taking up your time... head straight until you reach the throne room." The Ace smiled and waved good bye, before running off.
Arthur stared for a moment before sighing and continuing on his way to the throne room. What was with that guy? It's like no one ever gives him any attention. He thought before turning around and continuing while being sure to be more careful about where he was walking. He didn't want to run into someone again. Not after that catastrophe.
After a few more minutes of confused walking down the long corridor, he came upon the large door with a beautiful design on it. Arthur took a second to breathe and prepare himself for this "Joker" before pushing through the doors to see Alfred loosely sitting on his throne and three others sitting on plush blue stools in front of the throne.
Arthur looked back to Alfred, meeting his bright, blue eyes. With a grin, Alfred patted his lap while looking at Arthur. It took a moment before he understood what the king wanted. While taking a deep breath, Arthur walked over to the throne and sat down on Alfred's lap, leaning to the side just in case he was in the way, not that it was likely since Alfred was so much taller.
With no warning whatsoever, one of the guests, with an accent he didn't recognize and wearing a red-pink colored outfit, grabbed the matching one to his left and grinned widely. "Oooooh! Ludwig! I ship it!" The excited, brunette said while clinging to his friend's arm. "Erm... Feli... breathe... please..." The taller one, Ludwig apparently, murmured.
Arthur managed to not stare somehow and looked at the third guest, a decently tall, albino man, wearing black and red with a devilish grin. Arthur couldn't help but assume that this was the one that Matthew had referred to as "The Joker." This was definitely going to be an interesting meeting.
