"This way... we're not to far from where the King's room is." Matthew had 2, 6, and 5 with him. 6 was decently young... only about twelve or thirteen, and he was pretty much obsessed with 7, a little priest boy who looked very much like a girl. 2 was about his age. And 5 was an older man who wore armor, with a stubble and messy curls all throughout his hair.

They reached a split where the halls went three different directions. "We'll spread out. 6 and 2... you two go left. 5... center. I'll take the right, if you don't find anything come back and head right, to me. Understood?" The three nodded and ran off in their indicated directions, leaving Matthew walking down the right corridor.

The halls looked a lot like those of the spade kingdom, just green instead of blue, and with clubs instead of spades everywhere. Where are the bedrooms... Matthew pushed his hair out of his eyes and gripped his sword, walking slightly faster. He could hear voices... and one sounded familiar.

Matthew rounded a corner, finding the bedrooms. He began checking them quickly. Where is the king's r- His thoughts were cut off as he heard it. The voices. He pressed his ear to the door and listened as his composure began to shatter.

"I told you... The king of spades is nothing. He believes I'm on his side. I've manipulated the Ace into giving me info as well~"

Matthew's eyes widened as he recognized the voice from behind the door. It was a voice that was far too familiar in a tone that he had originally been so attracted to.

"Mmmmm... the king will be pleased for sure- but the king doesn't matter right now does he~?"

It hurt too much. The Ace bent down and looked through the keyhole. There he was. The Joker... the one Matthew had trusted so much... the one that he had given information to while in blind lust. The Joker had his nose in the crook of the Jack's neck. A green uniform was laying on the ground.

He backed away as he felt it- his being cracked... no... it shattered. Pieces of his souls fell. The one he trusted so much- that he thought was finally someone who had noticed him, had just been using him for military information. And he had fallen for those tricks.

"Mattew?" 5 had come up behind him. "Vargas... is he ok?" 2 and 6 were also there. "I think... I think something might have happened to him..." 5 picked Matthew up, cradling him like a baby. He looked at the door as he heard the voices. "Chun..." 2 nodded and drew his sword.

He pushed the door open, and walked in with his sword pointed forwards. Vargas slowly stroked Matthew's hair while running for an exit, shouts for guards were emitting from the room far behind them as 2 ran out and after the already fleeing group. "It's ok, Matthew... he was a scoundrel anyways..." 5 growled.

6 nodded in agreement "Jokers just can't be trusted." Matthew wasn't listening. He just stared back blankly as a hurt and confused Joker stared back at him from behind a group of racing guards- frozen in place. Matt was too broken too care at that point... too broken to cry.

Ok... I'm sorry. It will work out in the end, but Gilbert is supposed to be deceptive, because he's a Joker. And... trust me... this story will have a lot of love issues. Also! 2 is Hong Kong, 5 is Ancient Rome, 6 is HRE, and 7 is Chibitalia.

P.S. My cat loves you.
