It's time. The warehouse was more than full, it's so loud i can hardly hear my thoughts but i am used to it. Was i nervous? yes, this is a new stage, new audience and completely different fighters. But am i going to win? this time i smirked. Without a doubt because fighting is my life.
Adrenaline was pumping through my veins, i am ready for this. i crave this fight and whoever i gonna fight with better be good because he probably won't make it out alive.
" ladies and gentile men we are gonna have an eclipse in here tonight i present to you LIGHT!!!!!" the crowd cheered loudly but it was weak compared to back home. I am guessing i'm going to have to change that. I jogged to the ring as the crowd made way for me to pass.
" and her opponent will be our very own NIGHT" the crowd went wild. I mean who is this guy. It won't be long before i know right? I waited patiently as the crowd died down, i started getting antsy. Is this guy coming or not. maybe he is scared, i rolled my eyes this time. I highly doubt that seeing that nobody knows me. well this guy must be important if we are waiting on him. i fold my hand and leaned against the ring but at the same time the crowd started cheering again. As my opponent made his way to the ring he seem vaguely familiar but i couldn't tell who he was immediately.
That wasn't important at the moment, its fighting, winning and continue fighting. That's all that is important, winning and fighting. I need no distraction, no familiar faces. I kept my head low and if it wasn't for my black sports bra and gym shorts i could pass for a guy with my short coiled hair but girl or guy i was going to put him down.
when i raised my head, our eyes made four and well all spoke at the same time.
"you've got to be kidding me"
"hell no"
"you all know the rules"
The warehouse become ghostly quiet after we spoke. No one spoke or moved, everything was still as if afraid to disturb the silence. But then he spoke.
"this fight is over, get out the ring" he spoke quietly but all could hear him. No one deared to defy him except me of course.
" excuse me? you don't tell me what to do" by this time he was already out of the ring and on his way to what i assumed was an office. i hurried out of the ring and after him and when i caught up to him he was already inside the office giving instructions.
" just put someone in to entertain them for a while" It was then realized that we weren't alone, he was giving the instructions to ezzy, who just nod and left the room. Who is this guy? is he their boss or something?
" i have to fight tonight, so lets go" i wasn't going to let no body come in the way of me and my fighting.
he took a intimidating step towards me and for the first time i got nervous when some is trying to intimidate me. " listen her child, i don't know who run where you're coming from but around here i call the shot. Not you"

" whether i fight here or not, i am never done fighting" he can't control all the fighting that goes on in New York and if it takes me a life time to find one that he doesn't control, i will find it.
I turn to leave when i heard him say " i'll fight, just one fight alexia"
