Don't make him angry and he won't shoot you. I nervously kept this thought in my head as I introduced myself, prying my eyes off my phone and the conversation I was having.

"I'm Tord. Don't bug me, answer any questions I ask you, don't ask me questions, and you'll be fine," Tord said, seeming uninterested in me.

"Oh. I guess I can manage," I sighed. Generally, I had a kind heart, and people could sometimes try to take advantage of it. I honestly tried my best to make sure I didn't get taken advantage of too much, since that could become a problem at some point.

Tord sat down next to me on my bed. Instinctively, I flinched away.

"God, I just wanted to try to have a conversation. Being in a dorm together won't really work too well if we don't even get along," Tord frowned.

I shrugged, turning my attention back to the conversation on my phone. Tord looked over my shoulder.

"Who are you texting?"

"Nobody. My friend was just curious as to who my roommate was."

"Oh. Who is this friend of yours? They must be very important if you can't even keep up a conversation with me."

I turned off my phone. It was probably a good idea to not give him any information. I didn't want to get myself into a hole of worry and problems that I couldn't get out of.

"Mmm... Now they're so secret that I'm not even allowed to see their number?"

"Stop asking me questions."
That actually worked. Tord just threw his arms in the air.

"Fine! Fine! I don't want to ruin my reputation anymore. I'll just get my stuff and carry it in.. By myself." Tord replied, slamming the door behind him.

I waited for a few minutes before I even did anything.

"Ringo, It's okay to come out now," I said, trying to make sure my voice was soft enough to not sound hostile.

A small, dark gray cat crawled out from under the bed. It jumped onto the bed, sitting down next to me.

"Sorry about that, Ringo," I murmured, petting his soft fur. The only reason I'd told him to hide was because I just didn't know what to expect of whoever my roommate was going to be. It was probably for the best that I had waited until Tord left. He was a bit.. unpredictable.

I then decided to turn my phone back on, quickly replying to the text.

Edd: Sorry for not responding, Tom. I met my new roommate. It wasn't really what I expected.

Tom: Oh. As I said before, I have Matt as a roommate, so :/

Edd: I know. You're lucky.

Tom: Why? Who do you have?

I debated on whether I wanted to tell him or not. Tom clearly just hated Tord at the moment. I already knew that if I told Tom about it, he would most likely want me to spy on him. But that was how very close friendships worked, right?

Edd: Tord.
