Tom didn't reply. I didn't know if he was surprised or if he just wasn't answering his phone because he was busy doing something else now. I assumed it was Matt dragging him out of his dorm to go do something. Matt had always been like that. He was really narcissistic, and right off the bat, I knew that would really bug Tom. I sighed, putting my phone in my backpack.

My parents only let me bring a few things, but I guess it was fair, since they did let me do mostly anything I wanted. I had literally only been able to bring a box and my backpack. The box had all of the essentials I needed, such as clothes. Although, I also had to try and cram any personal belongings in there as well, so I had very little space to bring anything that I really cared about. I also put a few things in my backpack, since it was empty when I left, and I figured that I could just empty out some of it into the locker.

Ringo wasn't even an exception to all of this. I literally had to keep him in my backpack all day, which was actually really hard to do. Ringo was normally pretty well behaved, but he generally got really nervous in small spaces. He was constantly trying to poke his head out of the small area of my backpack that I left unzipped so he breathe, and he would be fidgeting around trying to get comfortable, making my backpack move a bit during today's classes. Overall, it was just a pain to do.

A ring came from my phone. I sighed, searching through backpack to find out where I'd just put it. Upon looking at the number, I realized I didn't recognize it. I assumed it was just a wrong number, so I decided to pick up the phone.

"Hello?" I answered.

No reply.

"Is anyone there?"

"Would you like me to help you with your future?" An older voice finally replied.

"I think you have the wrong number..? And what does that even mean?"

"I offer reading futures to people who have uncertain futures. I then offer advice to them," The lady replied, kindly.

"No thanks. I'm good," I sharply replied, about to drop the call.

"Don't you want to hear about your future love?"

I stopped for a second. "Someone will actually... Love me..?"

To be completely honest, I'd always wanted a special someone... It's really nice to think that when you get married, there will always be someone by your side to love and care for you. All I have right now are my parents, who really don't care too much about what I do. Tom is pretty nice, and he does seem like he cares about me. Maybe not all the time, but still.

"Of course! And it's very near in your future. Of course, it isn't going to be an easy road after that, I'm afraid," The lady replied, sadly.

"I can handle it! I'm strong!" I excitedly shouted.

"Do you want some advi-" I ended the call, trying to think over all the possibilities of this call. It could very well be a prank, but honestly, how many times do you find someone saying that they know your future?
I sighed and pet Ringo, trying to think. It had been a while since Tord left, as a lot of time had pasted when I was waiting for Tom to reply, which he still hadn't done.

My phone vibrated, signalling that I'd gotten a text instead of a call. I picked it up  again, my eyes wandering to the notification on my home screen. It was Tom.

Tom: I need you to do something. Come over to my dorm ASAP and I'll give you the info. Room 62

Edd: Alright.
