I still didn't have Lenni because Alexander's week wasn't up, and I missed her so much. On a good day where I didn't have any panic attacks, we had what to me seems like the best conversations ever.
I was bored out of my mind, Kalin wasn't an option because it was obvious he wouldn't talk to me until he was ready, Kaila has been so enthralled in Luke she doesn't come up for air. I picked up my phone and looked for my sisters number, she would probably think I was in trouble cause I never call anyone.
She answered on the first ring, "Hello my favorite sister!"
"Shanice I'm your only sister." I smiled, "Would you like to hang out with me today?" This was always a hard question for me to ask anyone because I'm usually by myself.
"Sure what're gunna do?"
"Do touristy stuff, go eat, the ferry all of that." I rambled trying to figure out something to do.
"Or, or, or we can go get tattoos." Pulling the phone from my ear I looked at it like it was crazy.
"You know mom and dad are not gunna let you do that."
"Nineteen with my own money." She stated matter of factly. Shanice was just as animated as she was sassy.
"I'll come get you and we can go to Bang Bang." I rolled my eyes as I hung up.
The first mission for me was to find my car keys, I never really use it cause it's New York City so, other means of transportation are in abundance and much cheaper than those gas prices. I got dressed, found my keys and was on the way to Shanice's apartment.
I texted her to let her know I was outside and she came down in a flash. She was a little too excited for my liking. As she got in the car I looked at her. I just missed her so much.
My phone rang and looking down at the caller ID, it was Xander. I thought not to answer but then I remembered he had my child. "Yes." I answered the phone.
"Can you meet me and Lenni at the BBQ's on 42nd Street?"
"K." I hung up, and looked at Shanice. "Change of plans real quick boo."
"Oh who cares I get to see my baby." She smiled, she loved Lenni so much. Whenever she had Lenni they had the dearest time ever.
** I pulled up at the BBQ's, got valet and when I walked in scanned the area for Xander and Lenni. Shanice and I found the table and walked over, he had Lenni sitting on the table playing with her. Next to him was a ladies purse.
"Hey Keith!" Shanice greeted him with a hug. I've come to realize that just because he wasn't a good partner doesn't mean he wasn't a good person to my family and if they choose to continue communication with him, I'm not upset at that.
"Hey Shanice. I missed you girl! How you been?" He handed over Lenni to Shanice.
