I'd been working for Mr. Beaumont for about a month now and I was super happy there. I got on really well with all the guys working there, and there was no drama like in the last place I worked, everyone was laid back and i'd never heard the boss shout. That was, until today. I went to his office to hand him some papers and I didn't know who was in there, but he wasn't happy with them. I decided to leave them to it, but I heard my name being called, so I took a deep breath and went in. "Sorry, Sir. I was going to come back when you weren't so busy. I just needed to hand you these papers," I said politely, trying not to look at the boy to my side, I didn't recognise him. He couldn't have worked here. Who the hell was he?

"Thank you very much," he smiled, back to his happy self as he spoke to me, "if there's any more, would you be able to bring them through, please?"

"Of course, Sir," I smiled and turned to the boy, giving him a nod before leaving, being sure to shut the door to give them some privacy, though that didn't keep me from hearing the boys curiosity, "who's that? You didn't tell me you had a cute girl working here."

As I gathered the rest of the papers, I asked Jack, who I got along with pretty well, about the mystery guy in the office.

"I don't know about 'hot' but it could be Beaumont's son," he said in his Irish accent, "I've never met him but I know he's got a kid. Pretty sure he's 21, maybe 22, so it fits."

"Yeah it does, i'm hoping he's still in there when I take these back," I chuckled, winking before heading back to the office.

I knocked on the office door and it opened for me. "Thank you," I smiled to the cute guy before walking over to the desk. "Here's all the papers that are ready, though we're still waiting on Andy's, i'll bring them through when he's done; shouldn't be too long, he said." I handed the papers over and he flicked through them.

"Thank you very much," he smiled, and I noticed his smile faded when he looked over my shoulder. I nodded and took a step back, "i'll leave you to it, Sir," I said before leaving, giving a smirk to the boy behind me.

"Seriously, who is she?" I heard as I shut the door, "and why didn't you tell me? I'd come and help more often if I knew there was a reason to."

"You really think this is helping..?" The voices faded then, but I heard the door opening again. I carried on walking, I had to get back to work, but I heard footsteps following me all the way to my station, and when I turned around to start working, there was a very attractive male right in my way.

"Excuse me, but you seem to be in my way," I said, trying not to smirk. He chuckled and started to move before changing his mind. "Do you have a problem?" I asked.

"Just one," he said, looking down at me with a smirk. "But i'll make you a deal..." he said, waiting for my response.

"Does this deal involve me being allowed to work?" I asked, brow raised at him and he nodded. "What's your deal, then?"

"I will happily move out of your way and let you work... if... I can get your number," he smiled smugly.

"And if I say no?" I smirked

"I'll be forced to tell my dad that one of his employees is refusing to work."

So Jack was right, he's Beaumont's son. I took my pen from my hoodie pocket, "what would your dad say about you hitting on his employees?" I questioned as I wrote my number on the back of his hand.

"I don't know, want me to show him the number and ask him?" he smirked, then smirked wider as I glared at him, "okay, okay, I don't have to tell him."

I was able to get quite a lot of work done by lunch time, and as my lunch break started, I headed to the office to hand Andy's papers in. He'd been off sick for a few days so he had a few extra bits to record. When I knocked on the door of the office, I heard whispers before Mr. Beaumont finally opened it, "good afternoon."

"Good afternoon, Sir. Andy's papers," I said as he took them, " I'd have brought them a little earlier but I wanted to get all my work done. I'll be working in the other room this afternoon, if that's alright."

He nodded, smiling, "thank you. And of course. Enjoy your lunch, make sure you're back in an hour and a half," he smiled, and before I could protest about the extra half hour, he shut the door.

I hadn't gone far when it opened again, I looked back to see who it was, but rolled my eyes with a smirk. "I'll make sure you're back within an hour and a half," he offered, "i'll make it worth it."

"Dude, you're my bosses son, I can't," I chuckled, heading to where Jack had his lunch.

"Not to alarm you, but there's a strange guy behind you," Jack chuckled when i found him, then looked up at him, "hey there."

"Hey, dude. Name's Rye," he said and shook Jack's hand. "Jack," Jack greeted.

"I'm going out for lunch, you're both welcome to come with," he said, but was looking at me.

Jack smirked, "I'm ready halfway through my lunch, but she usually goes out to buy hers anyway," he nodded toward me and I mentally cursed him. That was a huge lie, for one. And I'm pretty sure Beaumont wouldn't be happy about me going for lunch with his son, for two.

"Fine," I agreed reluctantly, "but I wanna be back in an hour."

"You got yourself a deal, babe," he smirked as I went to get my things, seeing a message from him in my phone.

"You were quick," I chuckled, holding my phone up.

"You were quick, too," Jack said, a little shocked that he already got my number.

"That, honestly, is not how it looks," I laughed, though it was no use; he shook Rye's hand for how quick he got my number.

---

Rye lead me out to his car, "so where do you wanna go for lunch?" he opened the door for me and then shut it behind me. "Where do you usually go for lunch?" I asked once he got in the driver's side.

He shrugged, "depends. Fancy or not fancy?" he asked with a smirk playing on his lips.

"Do I look like i'm dressed for fancy?"

"Good point, we'll have to save fancy for tonight then, how about Subway?" he spoke casually and I almost agreed, but then my brain registered what he'd said and I shook my head.

"Yes to Subway, no to fancy," I chuckled, "I can't have my bosses son take me out."

But later on that night, I was finally dressed all fancy and was sitting on the couch, butterflies in my stomach, as I waited for my bosses son to pick me up.

Beaumont was going to kill me.
