changbin was sad, the only thing he had left was that god damn hoodie from felix that he left on his bed. changbin was wearing it non stop, only taking it off when it had to be washed. it smelled like felix, like home.

"changbin, food is ready." chan called, but changbin only rolled his eyes, he didn't even bother to get up. "yah, changbin! get your ass up, or i'll-" chan said, but changbin already opened the door, walking past the older boy without looking at him. it wasn't like he was going to eat - he couldn't. he just didn't wanna fight with chan again, that happened too often in the last few days. "changbin? after i finished eating, come to the studio with me, will you?" chan asked and changbin nodded.

after eating, both of them sat in the studio. chan was working on music, changbin was looking at the ground, not noticing chan sitting next to him. "changbin." the older boy called. chan never said his name that serious, so he turned around with a worried face. "i know you're hurt, okay? but please don't shut us out. don't do that to yourself, don't do that to us. please." chan was almost begging. changbin didn't say anything - he didn't say anything the last few days. "please, changbin. you can't do that to me, i want to help you."

"you can't. no one can help me. don't you get it?!" changbin said, automatically raising his voice. "why not?" the older boy asked, staying calm. chan knew changbin was hurting, he didn't take the way he glared at him serious. "because i love felix, chan!" changbin said, and then, after realizing what he said immediately running out of the studio. chan ran after him, catching him and then just hugging him. "it's okay, changbin. it's okay." he said and changbin broke. he just sobbed into chan's shoulder, hugging the older boy tight. chan stayed still, closing his eyes, he knew it all along. the way changbin looked at the younger boy made it clear for chan. "w-why are you so n-nice to me?" changbin asked. "because i knew." the older boy simply answered. "h-how?"

"you look at him like he's the only thing you can see." chan answered, smiling when pictures flashed in his head. "plus, you're super protective when it comes to him. you talk to him like he's the most beautiful, talented and precious person on this planet, changbin. don't you know?" changbin shook his head, it seemed like he calmed down a bit, but he was still hugging chan. and the older one just let it happen.

after they returned to the studio, chan asked the question that he wanted the answer to the most. "does felix know?" changbin shook his head. "do you know if he likes you back?" he shook his head again. "why are you so protective of him? except for the fact, that you love him? it's not like he couldn't protect himself." chan said. "first off, he can't protect himself, he's a baby and he's too nice to speak his mind...and.. i-i'm protecting the light in his eyes." chan laughed. "what light?" "didn't you notice it? when he looks at something, or he does something that he likes, his eyes shine. i'm protecting it, he doesn't need to lose it, not as long as i'm here." changbin answered. "then...are his eyes shining when he looks at you, changbinnie?"

changbin thought about it for a while, before he nodded. his eyes do shine when he looks at changbin.

"and you never once thought about what that could mean?" changbin shook his head, looking confused. "what did you just tell me?" "his eyes shine when he looks at someone he li-do you think he likes me?" changbin said, finally understanding what chan was saying. chan smiled. "yes, i think he does."
