Music: Prologue from Gradius Gaidem
Deep in the depths of Mendoza, Argentina, a secret meeting is taking place in an old government hideout. General Kyle Venslos of the Argentinian army walks into a room where seven or eight of his men sit at a square table. At one end of the room sit two of his lieutenants, observing a map of the Caribbean Sea on a gigantic monitor, including all of the various islands.
"Good evening, gentlemen," Kyle says, taking a seat at the end of the table opposite the monitor.
"Evening, General," all the men reply back.
"What is the status on the search?" Kyle asks, putting his hands together and setting his arms down on the table.
"It's been going," one of the lieutenants answers. "Right now, we've been focusing our attention on the Galapagos. They have strict rules regarding visitors to that island, and the defenses seem weak, so they'll be an easy target for us."
"That will work perfectly," Kyle says, nodding in approval. "Any islands in particular that spark your interest?"
"The Kapu island appears to have an acceptable climate, as well as sufficient enough resources for us to claim it as our own territory," the other lieutenant says, clicking on one particular island to zoom in on it. Kyle nods slowly.
"Very well, then. We will move into the island and take is as our own as soon as we can, men," Kyle tells his soldiers.
"Hold on. 'Kapu' means 'forbidden' in Hawaiian. Is this really a good idea?" one of the newest recruits says. He tries to sound brave, but there's a VERY slight wavering in his voice, which the general takes notice of.
"James, this is a military business. If you're going to act like a little boy about this, the door's right over there," Kyle growls, pointing to the doorway.
"He's got a point, you know," one of the Majors says. "Not to get on the superstitious side or anything, but that island could be cursed for all we know."
"Okay, well, if you all are going to act like children over the name of an island, I might as well call in reinforcements," Kyle sighs. He picks up his phone and calls the head General of the Chilean army, a good friend of his.
"Hello? This is General Kyle Venslos. Send your best men to my location at once." he says. As the Chilean General replies on the other end, he furrows his brow, getting frustrated.
"I don't care what excuses you have to make! I need those men down here, NOW!" Kyle yells. He puts the phone down and sighs, facepalming.
"What's the matter, sir?" a Captain asks, standing up.
"It'll be two weeks before we can get the men we need. But we'll have them by the time we're ready to claim the island. You have my word on that. Meeting adjourned!"
"Yes, sir!" the soldiers say, standing up and saluting their boss.
Already looking better, eh?
Yeah, couldn't think of any original ideas and plus I recently had the idea to make Separated even better than it was before, so I went to MC about this and we agreed to try this out. This story's gonna be good. :)
Also, I'm gonna try and hold off on making a WIP playlist video ahead of time, unless I come up with an idea that I really like.
