**Nicki's POV**
Thembi came over as always in the morning.
"So??" She said once she settled down.
"What?" I asked.
"How was last night?"
"Fine" I said pretending it was no big deal.
"What? Spill!" she said excitedly.
"He brought me home, I gave him my number, and we kissed."
"Ohhh.. Onika's got a man!" Thembi more or so sang than said.
I got a text from Drake:
Papi: Hey beautiful
me: Haii Papi
Papi: Can I come over?
Me: of course
Papi: Alright be there in 10
Me: ok
"He got you blushing already?" Thembi teased.
"Shut up!" I laughed covering my face.
"So are we going to the party tonight?"
"Duhhh... I promised Drake." I said.
"Okay Nic." Thembi laughed. "Wanna go shopping for an outfit with me?"
"Later, Drake's on his way now." Just then Drake knocked at the door.
"Should I leave or.." Thembi asked.
"Stay" I walked to the door and opened it. "Hey Papi!"
"Hey ma!" He hugged me. "Wassup T?"
"Hey Drake" Thembi waved.
"So, Y'all got any plans before the party?" Drake asked.
"Thembi wants to go out and shop for an outfit." I stated. "I doubt you wanna do that but you are more than welcome to join."
"I'm not busy, of course I'll join!" Drake said. Then I thought about something and decided I needed to talk to Drake in private. I led him upstairs to my bedroom.
"What's up?" He asked sitting on my bed.
"I'm confused." I confessed.
"About??"
"What are we? a couple? friends?" I asked.
"I'd love for you to be mine Onika." He smiled, I smiled back. "I take that as a yes?"
"Maybe you should ask more properly... It might convince me more." I replied.
He grabbed my waist and pulled me closer to him. "Onika I am positive that I want you to be mine. You are beautiful and I promise I will protect you and I will never hurt you in anyway." He took a deep breath. "Ever since I laid eyes on you last night at the bar, I knew you were the one. And I'm looking for a future with you. So, Onika will you be my girlfriend?"
"Of course Papi!" I blushed.
