Elementals

The water Elementals eyes still froze upon the shiney silver blade of the man's sword. But however they still tried to remain brave as their fate hung in the balence. The other fire soilders were too lined up stood on guard in case they had to intervien moments later the man yet again began to pace his way along up the line looking shamefully at the people,until finally he stopped. Time seemed forever frozen as the man stood in his tracks facing a young boy, the people at each end of the line slowly glanced at who it was before turning away. The boy stood there with his eyes down and small pieces of his shoulder length hair hiding his face. He looked about eleven years of age; A skinned boy with dark hair. He woar blue robed clothing that hung just above the knee and his skin was a pinkish colour." Tell me boy...what is your name?". The man asked polightly. The boy wasted no time in answering his question." I'm Lucid". He said shakey. "Lucid...a fine name....now tell me Lucid where is the traitor?". He asked again. Lucid turned his head to face the old cottage to see a couple hiding with what appeard to be a baby. But he was quick to face back in case he give them away." Well...". The man said this time sounding less patient. Lucid didn't say anything but simply just shoke his head multiple times. The man puffed pathetically at him as he once again reached behind him and and pulled out his sword unnoticed. Then as quick as lightning the man bolted round and held his sword against Lucid' s throat." Now then,perhaps we should try again......where is she". He said. The people in the line closed their eyes tightly and tensed themselves preparing for the worst. However Lucid did not he was relaxed as if he knew his fate. Finally the last thing that occurred was a slight yelp and the sound of a body drop to the earth. The water Elementals turned and re-opened their eyes to see Lucids body laying motionless on the ground with a puddle of red sinking into the earth. The couple hidden behind the old cottage covered their mouths in a state of shock as they remembered Lucids last moments of life and how brave they were. But they had to move now as time was running out fast. Once more the sound of the people's screams echoed the air as the dramatic fires were lit and let loose upon their homes." Come on Delighla we have to get out of here!". Her husband Kage shouted over the loud screams and bright flames. Delighla and Kage along with there child fled from their hiding place in the hope that they were not seen. However a fire soilder who at the time set fire to a cottage spotted them." Over there, there she is get her!". He shouted in order. Within minutes a large group of soilders were behind them and like a game of cat and mouse the chase had now begun.

A while later Kage and Delighla had found there way into a forest and fought there way through the trees in order to get their daughter safe. The loud roars of the soilders and there heavy footsteps drew ever closer to Kage and Delighla." What do we do now Kage?". She said hugging their daughter tightly in her arms. Kage' s eyes scanned the area around him there appeared to be nothing..but then, a small hollow at the bottom of an old oak tree caught his eye. However this hole was only small enough for one of them." Delighla place her in there". He said his voice was filled with panick. Delighla gave him a worried look but realized it may be the only way to keep their daughter safe. Then without hesitation Delighla placed her baby within the hollow as deep as she could. She then put her two fingers to her lips and reached down to place them on her child's forehead." I love you...". She whispered before her and Kage ran off into the distance leading the soilders away. The pair fled from the hollow and stumbled harshly amoung the broken branches and fallen leaves. Until they stopped in there tracks. "What are we doing". Delighla said worryingly. Kage turned to face her grabbing her hand and clenching it tight." If we accept our fate... we will be free, I love you Delighla". He whispered proudly into her ear. Finally the soilders found them and made an endless circle, surrounding them completely." You didn't really think you could escape did you, wait,where is she?". The leader said his voice full of frustration." Do you really think we would tell you... you've made us 'Slaves' suffer enough one day she will defeat you and light will rise once more". Kage said still clenching Delighlas hand. "Your going to pay for this mistake". The soilder said." At least we will be free". Delighla replied fearless. The soilder chuckled mockingly at them. "Finish them!". He ordered. Delighla and Kage were pulled to the floor and killed mercilessly. As their bodies lay together side by side the wind blew a gentle guest as if it had taken their spirits away to a Paradise.

Later that day

The leaves to the entrance of the hollow crushed against each-other as the arms of a strange presence reached inside, but what she came out with was a baby. Delighla and Kages baby." Hey, little baby, where'd you come from...don't worry I'll look after you". She said hugging the child deep into her warm clothing as she stood and made her way back to the village.
