Dark Forest

As dawn approached there was no Sun,no light no day, instead it was dark gloomy clouds that hovered over the land like a bad smell. There was no thunder only slight rain as it fell soft upon the lake and the leaves making them flop as the raindrops fell. Skyler awoke to see Luna, Tide and Carlem still asleep ,careful Skyler inched herself away from them and snook quietly away. She closed her eyes as she moved out into the open away from the bushes and tall thick branches which had kept her dry. Looking back to check if they were still asleep Skyler was confident enough to guess so with this she wet off and began to make her way down by the lake. As she reached the waters edge she was surprised to find that the rain had ceased to fall. Smiling, Skyler knelt down scooped her hands full of water and started to wash her face. When she was done she had returned to see Luna had crept up next Tide resting on his lap like a tired puppy. Chuckling Skyler too had made he way back to Carlems side where she settled and closed her eyes resting them gently,her ears still on guard as she was alert ready for anything.

When Skyler had eventually re-opened her eyes she was met with three figures standing over her, jumping up sharply she gasped but relaxed quick as it was only Carlem and her friends. "Morning sleeping beauty". Luna laughed happily." Oh, good morning". Skyler replied looking sweetly at her. Carlem raised out a hand in front of her as if he were asking her silently to take it. Hesitating for a moment Skyler reached out for his hand and took it firmly in hers. After standing Skylers face became screwed as the phoenix had now vanished."Where is Windwing?". She asked, her eyes glancing around her Carlem laughed sweetly before repliying."He cant stay forever besides he is a Guardian after all,hey Skyler, i've been thinking". He stopped suddenly Skyler looked at him with curiousity wondering as to what he was going to say."What?".Skyler asked but Carlem didnt reply instead he turned around placing his hand on the back of his neck, rubbing it softly."Well, if your planning on facing the Queen and getting yourself killed then, i'd be happy to acompany you".He said, Skyler's eyes widened at his words."What!, but why!". She asked, her voice shakey and full of question what had givin him this crazy idea !. "Skyler, the Queen killed all my family when I was a boy, if there was ever a time for retribution,this is it, and this is more than just a fight for freedom, its a fight for peace and that I would gladly go to the ends of the Earth for". He answered,Skyler gave him a confident nod before they both turned their heads to the distance to the thundering skies and flashes of lightning.

Hours later the entire gang were now up and ready,Luna still tired trailed along as they made there way through the forest, across the large bridges over the lakes as they trvelled north to the Queens Palace."Come on runt!".Tide shouted facing Luna who was panting almost as she staggered along meters behind them. Tides words seemed to urge Luna on and eventualy she joined them now the same pace, the gang had reached the top of a ledge where they looked down at the Air Temples. Carlem sighed quitely under his breath but she was the only one that heard him as they looked down at the Temple, we could see that they were compleately destroyed,and the town was full of weak and dead bodies. A tear of both anger and sadness as she began to walk off careful to not let the others see her emotions. Eventualy the gang began to follow.

Time seemed to speed by as the day began to transform into night however the sky was overflooded with clouds and soon rain began to fall harshly on the earth floor.The gang looked around constantly their eyes scanning the dark area around them, they were now in unfamilier territory. Suddenly a certain fast movement crashed from the trees behind them then, a ray of sharp fire blasted past them the gang leaped back each with their seperate Elemental orbs. Each of their faces screwed up, their eyes filled with wonder but fight as they searched from where the sudden blaze had come from. As the smoke cleared a scream exploded into the air, it was Luna, the gang looked as she was held tightly by a fire soilder had wrapped his arm firmly around her neck,she gasped for air as she struggled to be free from his grip. "Luna,let her go!". Skyler shouted across to them,but they didn't listen,instead they just laughed mockingly at her words." Or what little ice girl, or 'The Hope' should u say". Skylers eyes dropped as did her jaw as she heard those words." Who, who are you!". She replied distressed. However the soilders did not answer." Look please just let my friend go!". She spoke her voice shaken as she did. "Didn't you hear me I said let her go!". Skyler raged now forming a giant shard of pure ice and launched it directly from her hands towards the men missing Luna by a couple of inches the shard caught the soilder ho was holding Luna,he screamed in pain as the shard had now passed his skin, creating a rather large gash in his face. "Damm kids!". The man yelled violently as another large blaze of fire erupted like lava from a volcano out from his hands it was heading towards Luna!. Skyler and Carlem froze as it all seemed to happen in slow motion Luna turned to face the giant flames hiding her face she ducked quickly to the ground letting loose a slight yelp but. Nothing had happened in curiosity Luna looked up only to see Tide standing in front of her blocking the fire with an enormous boulder, his face was overcome by anger as he gritted his teeth aggressively. He was protecting her. Luna gasped happily as well as in relief as she noticed him defending her. Tide then began to wield a large pillar of rocks and branches from near trees that he had managed to transform into a massive ball of earth. Without hesitation Tide swung the ball at the men knocking them to the floor with impact, the men screamed in pain as they had been completely thrown into the air before hitting harshly on the forest floor. "Tide!". Luna helped joyfully as she hopped to he feet hugging him tightly, he waited a moment before he too was holding her safe in his arms protecting her. Skyler and Carlem waisted no time in helping as they each wield their own Elements and joined hem together creating an endless force of ice and wind, they both swung violently at the men sending them back even further than before. "Nice work Sky!". Carlem complemented, Skyler faced him with a smirk on her pale face. The pair turned their attention towards Luna and Tide as he sat beside her, his long arms wrapped protectively around her. Suddenly more soilders poured down ontop of them. Tide immeadiately leaped to his feet as all three of them gathered infront of Luna each with their own Element within their parlms. "Leave them alone!". Carlem commanded. However the soilders just laughed and mocked them as if they were a gang of clumsy children. "You heard him, now leave us or else!". Skyler added still the soilders stood before them their faces full of anger, their eyes overcome with a raging hatred.

As time passed the soilders formed a circle around the gang, when a strange event occured. The gang noticed that Skyler like the soilders was not going to back down, they gasped as if by magic she was lifted into the air, her entire body glowing."Its happening again". Luna whispered aloud."I said leave us alone!". Skyler raged as a stunning blue glow surrounded her, then out of nowhere the light seemed to shine brighter in seconds, the gang closed their eyes tightly and huddled together as this powerful force had now become Skyler.

The atmosphere had now become intense and strong as Skyler had turned what once was quite pink skin is now a firce pale, her hair had turned even blonder than before and her eyes a deep Ice clear blue.The whole forest seemed to shake as she fought the Queens men. When she had returned into her normal self she appeared weak as she lay carefuly placed on the earth floor, her eyes closed, her skin now also returning back to its normal colour.

MEANWHILE

The room was dark and the atmosphere was quite as the large room was lit only by very few fire lantins, placed in the centre of this room was a rather large chair, a throne in fact which had been seated by a women. Her hair a flowing black shiny and curled, her long red finger nails clinged against a small globe like orb that reflected a  young girl now surrounded by three others another young girl who appeared to be at the age of thirteen and two males both tall one dark haired and the other slightly lighter. "Hmm, impressive". She mumbled smirking in a rather malicious manner. Suddenly the quite atmosphere was interupted by the sound of large doors opening. The women turned to see who was entering the space. A tall, skinny man dressed in a black and red armour, his eyes a dark brown along with his greasy black hair. The women stood on her feet unearved by his presence. "My Queen!". He spoke aloud in his deep voice approaching her slowly."What is it Vincent? , have you managed to locate the girl?".She asked in a suspicious tone."No, however we have managed to map where she is heading". He replied softly. The Queen was immeadately at his side as the news had reached her ears."And, where may that be?".She said, Vincent gulped under his fear due to the closenesss of the Queen. "Well right now we've just had reports that she is now located in the Dark Forest but will most likely be heading north towards Moonlight Cavin as she is...". He paused as the Queens gaze met his."What!".She hissed in an impatiant tone the man gulped once more fearing her rage."She is making her way here my Queen". He finished, the Queen turned away from him he let loose a sigh of relief as she did."How interesting, I cant wait to finaly meet her, but I fear it will not be as easy as an invite.. phrehaps...Vinecent I wan tyou to release the hounds".She said smiling again maliciously."Ye my Queen". Vinecent replied walking fastly out of the room.The Queen on the other hand returned to her throne where she sat comfortalbly. "Well 'The Hope' this shall be enetertaining". She laughed viciously like a wild hyhena.
