Circus AU Part 2
~~~
(Keiths P.O.V)
"Because we are going to the circus tomorrow."
"... the what?!?" I couldn't tell I he was excited about this or not. I was very confused. I hadn't been to the circus since I was little. It was an event that came with a lot of memories of Mom.
    I never particularly cared, for the elephants were dancing monkeys, but always felt bad for them. However, I did like the acrobats. Seeing their graceful vaults, for the air often inspired me to keep going with gymnastics. There were similarities with the things that I learned in his class.
Mat saw my confused expression, "The Circus in town, they are supposedly known for its acrobatic acts. They are only here for a month or so" Matt smiled at Keith.
"While the acrobatics act is intriguing, a circus? Really? Why not just go to a competition?" Huffing and crossing my arms.
"Because I want to Keith. Mom's anniversary is coming up and I think this is a good way to honor her. We leave here at 3 show starts at 4, so please be ready" He had that pleading look. And any excuse I had died on my tongue as soon as they pulled the dead mom card. I huffed again but stayed silent, knowing better than to argue. Plus, I would like to see some advanced acrobatics.
I started upstairs to my room. I dragged my feet up the well-worn carpet stairs. As I reached the second floor and trudged to the end of the hallway to the spiral staircase set in the corner. My room was on the 3rd level in the attic space. The whole floor was mine, which was defiantly a perk. I enjoyed the solitude and with the small full bath, it made it easy to seclude myself when I wasn't having a great day. I threw my gym bag by my desk and fell back onto my bed. I took a second under the big skylight that showed the darkening sky. I took out my phone to check the time, 8:40. Shocked at how latest it out and started getting ready for bed seeing as I now wanted to get an early practice in before the Circus tomorrow.
I turned on my music and started my nighttime routine.
[Time skip]
     Beep beep beep beep.
Groaning I rolled over to pull my phone off the nightstand so I could stop the incessant beeping. I am going to murder my alarm clock. Aggressively pressing the stop button I finally open my eyes to look at the time, 10:30 am. Well shit, it was too late to head over to the studio. Deciding I still wanted to get a workout in before getting ready to go to the circus, I got up and got dressed to head downstairs to the workout room in the basement.
I pulled myself out of bed and got changed into some workout clothes. I worked out quickly and got back upstairs in order to take a shower I stripped down and turned the shower to steaming. Once the steam covered the mirrors and I could no longer see my reflection I jumped in and scrubbed down. I spent a good long while just letting the hot water roll down my back as I work to control my hesitation about going to the circus today. I don't like big crowds, but I knew how much it meant to go out as a family today. Trying to look on the bright side I thought about what I might learn from the advanced aerial team.
