April 2nd, 1993.

Harry was to his wits end with Lockhart. He always hated him of course, but after months of dealing with a narcissistic maniac, he was certainly done. The year only ended in a couple months, but Harry didn't think he could handle it.

He had to get rid of Lockhart.

Ever since Harry strangled him with Nagini, he had been acting more rough than ever- probably because he knew it was going to be tough to break Harry. One week, he literally set Harry's shoe on fire. That was a fun one to explain to Tom.

The hard thing was, to get rid of Lockhart, he'd have to tell Tom. And that would be hard, considering Harry would have to tell him that Lockhart had been mentally abusing him for months, inappropriately touching him, and threatening to fuck him. Tom wasn't going to be happy, by any means.

Harry should have told him sooner, really. But in his defence, it wasn't Tom's problem at a certain point- it was Harry's. 'Merlin,' Harry thought miserably, 'that's not a good explanation. Why didn't I tell him?'

Tom was going to be pissed, Harry knew it. But he might be more pissed off with Harry than Lockhart, and that's what scared him. Harry had never had to deal with anyone being mad at him, per say, so if Tom was mad at him...

Not that he couldn't understand if Tom was mad at him. No one had ever told him if there was anything he felt unsafe with to tell them. He thought that it would have been healthier to keep it bottled up... though now that he thought about it, that probably isn't right.

Harry sighed as he left Charms and immediately wandered off to Tom's office. He couldn't think about it too much, or else he'd shy out of telling Tom. His urge to get rid of Lockhart triumphed his cowardliness, though, as he knocked on Tom's door before opening it softly.

"Tom?" He called out lightly, his gaze drifting towards his soulmate who was looking at a map of Hogwarts. When he looked up, Tom smiled brightly before beckoning the raven haired boy forwards.

"Hello, darling," Tom kissed Harry's hand when he walked up. "What's the matter? You look very nervous, my love. Care for a hot chocolate to ease your nerves?"

Harry shook his head and bit his lip. "Do you have a pensieve I could use?"

That wasn't his original plan. His plan was to just tell Tom about what Lockhart did, but his mind was suddenly changing. He couldn't tell his soulmate that, to his face, someone inappropriately touched Harry multiple times without Harry being able to stop him.

Tom's eyebrows furrowed. "Of- of course, Harry. May I ask who needs to see a memory of yours?"

"You."

"Me?" He sounded surprised.

Harry only nodded his head and Tom turned a little to open one of the drawers in his desk, taking out a pensieve.

Meanwhile, Harry placed the tip of his wand up against his temple and focused on the memory in which Harry had stormed out of Lockhart's class after he groped him. After successfully pulling out a blue memory strand, he dropped it into the strange water.

Before Tom put his head into the water, Harry put a hand on his shoulder. "Before you see this, I just want to say that I'm sorry," Harry muttered, "and I would understand if you're mad at me. I love you."

Tom looked at him strangely before repeating the last few words and dunking his head in the pensieve.
