"Its dangerous at night."
You roll your eyes but agree with a smile
As you walk its awkward at first

You stop walking"Do you want to be?"

"Well I guess we are"
Grinning like idiots
Holding his hand and swinging your hands back and forth
"Best new years ever!" You declare.
"Agreed"
You and Alec celebrate new years together for the rest of your lives

Once Alec moves in with you the celebrations get better
You host parties every year
Not huge, just family
The Lightwoods, Jace, Clary, Simon, Magnus (and whoever his current lover is) and your family
Although Clary, Jace, Simon and Magnus aren't technically family they basically are
And once you have your own family they join in too
Eventually, you have to start renting out a hall as the family expands
Claces kids, Sizzy's kids, Mayrce and Robert, Max, your kids and its brilliant
