Going Public PT1

A/N: I'm back snitches! Sorry I've been infrequent and a mess lately. But its summer, things are looking up, and schools officially over till august so its going to be better.

Also PT2 should be up tomorrow (with Simon, Jordan, Maia, Raphael, and Camille), then the next day the rest of them. 

Jace:

 A Shadowhunter, and a vampire, dating? No, no, no, no, no, no, no was the first thing you said when Jace wanted to 'go public'. It would be like putting a target on your back.

"Can we at least tell Alec? He is my parabatai after all"

You give Jace a look as if to say 'really?'. "Alec is dating Magnus. Magnus is the biggest gossiper in the downworld behind Raphael, who visits Magnus more than he'd like to admit."

"So, we tell Alec not to tell Magnus." Jace sighed from his spot on your couch.

"Alec cannot and will not keep a secret from Magnus. Why do you think Magnus gave you a duck birthday card?" Jace shivered at the memory. Sighing, you walked over to the couch and sat next to Jace. "Face it, you can't tell him. Not yet."

"Then when?" He pressed.

You sighed, shaking your head "Who knows? Only time will tell."

After a small discussion, you both agreed to wait till the shadow world was calm-ish again. ,However, this didn't happen and for once it wasn't Jace's fault.

While visiting some fellow vampire friends shadowhunters (4 in particular) decided to raid the place. Turns out a few fledgelings had fed on humans.

During the fight, you saw it like slow motion. A vampire sneaking up behind Jace, reaching to tear his throat out. Jace hadn't realised but you had already flashed across the room.

The sight of a fellow vampire strangling another made the vampires pause, especially since it had been the clan leader. You didn't like her anyway though. "Touch my boyfriend and I'll rip your throat out with my teeth." You threatened before flying her full force at the wall.

Everyone winced as the heard a crack come from the vampire. All but Isabelle. You recognized her from Jace's old screensaver. "Boyfriend? Jace, why didn't you tell us sooner?!"

Clary:

 You were both Shadowhunters so telling people you were dating wasn't shocking. The lightwoods knew Jace knew, Simon and Luke knew. It wasn't a big deal...

Until your family found out.

It's not that they were disappointed you fell in love with the spawn of Valentine, they were furious.

"Her dad killed your grandmother!"

"She wasn't even alive then!" You protested. Your mum let out another aggressive sigh "Can you quit with the sighs! She's her own person, not her dad!"

"That's not the point!" Your dad argued back "Valentine still created that...thing."

"Thing!?" Your eye was twitching at this point.

A knock at the door interrupted the yelling. Your family was determined to remind poised in front of others. "Come in." Your mother called, as though you had only been discussing tea before.

In walked in Maryse. She tried to help you and convince them it was a good match. After a few minutes, you were able to slip away.

You went to find Clary instantly. She had been sitting in the kitchen with Izzy, Alec and Jace while Alec held a mixing bowl out of Izzy's reach. "You're not touching it!" He almost yelled.
