On Friday, the day after Maki went to watch Kaito be a good person, she was lost, she felt different since he started opening up and showing her his good side
But she swore to herself, she wasn't starting to like him, not one bit, in other news today was the last day of her first week of the bet
She walked to her locker like she did every day, and there was Kaede waiting for her
"Morning Maki!" She smiled
"Morning Kaede" Maki replied opening her locker to grab her stuff
"Are you okay? You seem different today" Kaede said with a worried look
"I'm fine, I guess I'm in a better mood then usual though since, today ends week one of four of this stupid bet with the ass" she replied
"Right! Just as I knew you're doing absolutely amazing, if anything you seem like you hate him more then you did last week" Kaede said happily
"He gives me more reasons to hate him every day" Maki responded as she closed her locker
"Well I should get going, I'll see you at lunch" Maki said quickly then started walking towards her first class
"Bye Maki!" Kaede waved then turned the direction of the classroom she had to go to
The day went on and Maki hadn't seen Kaito at all, she'd seen his friends but no sigh of him
So after school, she found herself not driving home but somewhere else, after about 10 minutes of driving she was in front of a house, his house
He had given her his address just in case she ever needed it for some reason, Maki honestly wasn't sure why she was there or why she was getting out of her car and walking to the door
Or why she was knocking but when she did she heard his voice yell come in
She sighed and slowly opened the door, when she did it opened up into a huge living room and there he was sitting on the couch
"Hey" Kaito said in shock, she was probably the last person he'd ever expect to show up at his door
"Come in" He added, she nodded slowly and walked in closing the door
"Why are you here?" He asked
"Today was a little too quiet" she replied
Kaito smirked "were you by any chance worried about me?"
Maki scoffed "OF COURSE NOT! I just came to make sure you weren't dead or something, NOT THAT I WOULD CARE IF YOU WERE THOUGH!" She added
"I was joking geez, nah I'm just sick" he replied
"I see" she replied
"It's been a week already" he said, she knew what he meant right away
"Yep, I only have to be stuck with you for three more weeks, then once I win I'll be free from you forever" Maki said confidently
"But are you sure you're gonna win?" Kaito asked
"Are you implying that I could actually fall in love with you?" She asked
"Nothing's impossible" he replied "besides you may not fall in love with the guy you know from school, but what about the guy who's not all that bad?" He replied
"Never" Maki replied "why are you so determined, is it maybe because you like me and you've already lost so you're just trying to make yourself at least halfway win?" She asked
"Me like you? That's the best joke I've ever heard" Kaito replied
"Exactly how I feel about you" Maki replied
"For whatever it's worth, thanks for checking on me, I really appreciate it"
"Yeah whatever, I'm gonna leave now, if anyone ever finds out I came here I'm dead" maki said simply then went back towards the door
"Bye" Kaito said, then with that Maki left
On the drive home she thought about what just happened 'why did I go check on him, I wasn't worried about him! That ass means nothing!' She thought and kept telling herself that the whole ride home
She promised herself she would never fall in love with Kaito Momota, ever
