3: Caramel Macchiato

BAILEY POV

"Hi! You must be Bailey!" Said one of my new roommates when I opened the door to the dorm.

"I am! And you are?" I asked.

It surprised me how excited she seemed.

"I'm Skylar!" She said as she came in for a hug, which is odd since most people, upon their first meeting, would go for a handshake. I already know that I won't have an issue getting close with her. "One of the dorm managers told us you were coming today. Suzy! Jessie! Come into the living room and meet Bailey!" Skylar continued to yell out.

Skylar is a very pretty girl. She has long black, straight hair, a small face, and kind eyes. I can already feel my self esteem dropping just by looking at her.

I looked around, seeing the rather small but cozy dorm. From what I can see, there is a small living room connected to the kitchen. There is a small balcony at the end of the living room and three doors down a small hallway.

One by one, two other girls came out from their rooms and greeted me.

"Hey Bailey! It's so nice to meet you!" One of the girls said. "I'm Jessica, but you can call me Jessie or Jess." She said as she reached out to shake my hand.

"Hi, it's nice to meet you too!" I replied. Jessica has layered hair dyed blonde. She has a darker skin tone and wears makeup, but knows how to use it really well.

"And I'm Suzy." The last girl said. My goodness, everyone in my dorm is pretty. This girl has medium length, slightly wavy brown hair, beautiful eyes, and very pink lips.

After introducing ourselves, we sat on the couch in the living room to discuss living arrangements and to get to know each other. Skylar, Suzy, and Jessie are sophomores. I am the only freshman, and because I was the only person to pass the auditions this time around, I was placed in a sophomore dorm that had room. Every dorm has a maximum of 4 girls, and there are two rooms and one bathroom in the dorm.

We decided that Skylar and I would share one room while Jessie and Suzy share the other.

"I'm majoring in singing, Jessie is majoring in dancing, and Suzy is majoring in acting. What's your major?" Skylar asked. My eyes lit up.

"I'm majoring in acting too!" I said. Suzy stood up, excited.

"Really?! I'm so excited to act with you then!" She said. I stood up with her and we jumped around in excitement.

"Ooh pray that you get casted for a romance scene. There are A LOT of cute boys on this campus, especially in the acting department." She said. I blushed.

"I believe you on that. I already met a couple of cute boys." I said. The girls laughed.

"You're gorgeous, you'll get a boyfriend in no time." Suzy said. I thanked her.

After talking, the girls decided to take me out and show me around campus. They told me about clubs, classes, and even introduced me to certain people.

After a while, we stumbled upon a cafe and went inside to buy drinks.

The girls ordered first, then it was my turn.

"I will have a caramel macchiato please, grande." I said.

"That'll be $4.97." The cashier said. Before I could pull out my wallet, someone put a five dollar bill down on the counter.

"Keep the change." Taehyung said. The cashier girl blushed and took the five dollars. Meanwhile, Taehyung looked back at me and smiled, watching my surprised face.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

"Making up for hitting you with my frisbee." He said as his smile grew even wider so that all his teeth were showing and his eyes turned into crescent moons.

"What? Oh no, I told you I'm fine." I said. Taehyung shook his head.

"I don't feel okay knowing that I hit a girl but just let her walk away." He said.

"But..."

"I'll take a thank you and we'll call it even." He said. I sighed.

"Thank you." I said. He nodded his head, and the other girls came to me with their drinks in hand.

"Kim Taehyung what are you doing here?" Suzy asked, with a bit of annoyance in her voice.

"Just hanging out with my new friend." He shrugged as he surprisingly slung his arm over my shoulder. I blushed.

"Uh-uh, hands off." Suzy said as she swung his arm off my shoulder. I felt slightly disappointed.

"Aww come on Suzy." Taehyung whined.

"Kim Taehyung do you know how many girls are after you on this campus? A lot. Now if they see you slinging your arm around a new freshman, would they be okay with that?" She asked. Taehyung pouted.

"Suzy you got no jams." He said. Suzy pulled me to her side then slung her arm around my shoulder. At this moment, I made eye contact with Taehyung's beautiful eyes and they sparkled. He smiled at me.

"See you around Bailey..." He said. I watched as he dragged his feet out of the cafe.

"Bailey... be careful with that one. He's in the acting department, and the acting department has a strict rule about not dating other actors. It's a public hazard." Suzy explained. My heart dropped.

"Oh..." I said.

"Here, your drink came out. Let's go walk around some more." Jessie said, handing me my drink. I took it and we walked out of the cafe together, and I enjoyed the caramel macchiato a cute boy bought me.
