15: Rule

BAILEY POV

"Well... I guess you won... because I fell first." He said. I froze, and he just gave me the most shy and sweet smile.

"What do you mean?" I asked, confused. He chuckled nervously.

"I like you." He said. My heart skipped a beat and my cheeks flushed red.

"You... like me? What...? How?" I asked, confused. He chuckled.

"You tell me, you're the one who keeps shaking my heart." He said. I felt intense heat building up in my face and I quickly cupped my cheeks to hide the brightest shade of red anyone has ever seen.

I turned away from his gaze. What do I say? I like you back? Come on Bailey... DO IT.

"Hey TaeTae!" A voice suddenly yelled out, making us both turn towards its direction. Why now.

I looked at Taehyung and also saw him with a tinge of frustration in his eyes, directed towards the person that interrupted such an important moment.

"Oh... hey Bo Gum." Taehyung said half-heartedly. I turned to see a new face... someone also... gorgeous.

His friend caught up to us and threw his arm around Taehyung, then he turned to me.

"Oh, hi! I'm Tae's senior Bo Gum, and you are?" He asked, lending out his hand for me to shake. Then... at that moment, my eyes grew wide. I do know him.

"No way...." I said. He withdrew his hand and started to chuckle. "No... way!" I said, still not believing.

"Y-You're Park Bo Gum! I've seen so many of your dramas and movies! I'm such a big fan!" I said. He flashed me a smile and started to blush.

"Thank you... it's a pleasure having such beautiful fans." He said as he winked. My breath hitched automatically... but then I heard Taehyung sigh and I was brought back to the seriousness of the situation.

"It's good to see you again hyung... I didn't know you were visiting today." He said as he hugged his senior, who enthusiastically hugged him back.

"Eh I missed this place... thought I'd visit my fav little brothers." He said as he ruffled Taehyung's hair.

"Oh wait..." Bo Gum said as he took a step back.

"Was I... ruining a moment here?" He asked, turning towards Taehyung with a teasing smile.

"What-"

"Is this your girl?" Bo Gum interrupted Taehyung, who started to blush.

Taehyung cleared his throat.

"This is my friend... Park Bailey." He introduced. I quickly bowed to Park Bo Gum... wow... a situation I never knew would be happening.

"Oh... well it's very nice to meet you! Actually... why don't we get to know each other? Tae, I'm having a party at my place tonight... you should bring the boys and Bailey... it's gonna be fun!" He said. My heart was pounding in excitement. No way.

Taehyung turned to me.

"Do you want to go Bailey?" He asked. I nodded excitedly.

"I would love to go." I said. Bo Gum smiled at me.

"What department are you in?" He asked me.

"Acting." I said. His eyes widened.

"So you two really aren't together? I mean... I know that whole 'no dating other actors' rule is pretty serious around here." He said. My heart dropped. I forgot.

"Yeah... we aren't dating." I said sadly, but what hurt more was Taehyung's disappointed face when I said that.

"N-No wait... Tae-"

"I'll see you later hyung... I have to go." Taehyung said. Bo Gum turned to him and smiled.

"Okay TaeTae, I'll see you at the party!" He said. With that, Bo Gum ruffled my hair, said bye to me, and left. Taehyung just silently turned around and walked off as well.

I ran after him.

"Taehyung." I said. He didn't stop or turn around. I grabbed his arm.

"Hey..." I said. He sighed.

"It's fine..." He said.

"What is? I only said that because he mentioned the rule. It is a rule you know..." I said. He nodded, still not looking at me.

"But... that doesn't mean I don't like you back." I said. His head suddenly snapped in my direction and I saw his widened eyes.

"What? Really? You like me too?" He asked. I got embarrassed.

"Who wouldn't like you..." I mumbled. A huge grin spread across his face and once again, I was blushing.

"But... we can't date. You know that. And plus... we really don't know each other too well yet." I said. He embraced me in a hug, which caught me by surprise, and wrapped his arms around my shoulders.

"Then let's get to know each other more. Please, I want to know everything about you." He said. With my heart practically beating out of my chest, I raised my arms slowly and wrapped them around his small waist.

"I want to know everything about you too..." I said shyly. Just then I saw students rush past us to their classes, meaning that lunch was over. I was sad. I didn't want this fluttering moment to end.

"Tae? I think lunch is over." I said. He groaned.

"Just a little while longer..." He said, tightening his grip around me. I laughed.

"My teacher's gonna kill me if I'm late again." I said, sadly letting go of him. "I'll see you tonight?" I asked. He nodded excitedly.

"I'll pick you up at your dorm at 7." He said. I nodded and we separated, but not long after, he grasped my hand. I gasped in surprise.

"Taehyung... we can't be seen like this." I said. He gave me pleading eyes but I stood my ground, which was the hardest thing ever.

He sighed and let go of my hand, which left it cold and lonely.

"Fine... I'll walk you to your class." He said. With that, we started towards class, and my heart was exploding in excitement.

He likes me. Kim Taehyung really likes me. AND I'm going to Park Bo Gum's party tonight. How did I get so lucky?!
