BAILEY POV
I stared at the seven men staring back at me. Everyone gathered in Taehyung and Jimin's room after finding out I was here. I was still shocked, scared, and confused.
The once hot soup is now toppled over in the plastic bag on the floor. No one moved a muscle until finally, RM spoke up.
"So... Bailey. Let us explain what is going on." He said. I took a deep breath and nodded.
"So... we, the seven of us, are in a gang called Bangtan." He said. Upon that sentence, my breath hitched and tears lined my eyes.
"W-What? A gang?!" I asked. They nodded. Fear crept throughout my body. I subconsciously crawled backwards, hitting the wall with my back and distancing my self from the... gang members.
"Wait Bailey please—"
"How did you get in here?" Yoongi interrupted Taehyung.
"I... I followed Jimin in here... Taehyung told me he wasn't feeling well so I got him some soup and wanted to surprise him." I said. Everyone's gaze fell to the soup bag on the floor.
Taehyung's eyes softened.
"You didn't lock the door?" Yoongi grimaced at Jimin, who rubbed the back of his neck.
"I forgot... sorry." He said. RM sighed.
"Look... no one's supposed to know about this. Not the girls." He said.
"I-I'm sorry..." I said, afraid.
"You know what the protocol is ... if someone finds out, we have to—"
"No." Taehyung interrupts Yoongi. "Not her. Not Bailey." He said firmly. I looked around confused. Have to... what? Taehyung turned to me.
"She won't tell anyone, right Bailey?" He asked. I fearfully shook my head. "I trust this girl so much... she won't tell anyone if she says she won't." Taehyung told his brothers.
"Tae, it's protocol." Yoongi said.
"Fuck the protocol! We aren't doing anything to her! You'll have to go through me." Taehyung fought back. Seeing him with so many wounds broke my heart, and before I knew it, a tear fell down my face. Tae saw this and his eyes widened.
"Ah shit... Bailey... please don't cry. Please I can't take it." He said, taking a step towards me. I quickly took a step back, and wiped my tear.
Before things got any more tense, I spoke up.
"I... I need to go." I said, trying to find the strength in my legs to get up. I used the door knob as support.
"Wait... Bailey... please..." Taehyung said as I was about to leave. "Guys... can you please let me to talk to her alone for a second." He asked the others.
"I... I don't want to talk..." I muttered, feeling betrayed how he kept this... very vital information from me.
"Please, Bailey. I need to explain this to you." He said. I turned around and looked at the boy I came to care about so much. How could this sweet, beautiful boy be a gang member?
I looked to the other boys, who nodded and got up from their seats to leave the room. I quietly stepped aside as they left.
Once they did, the door closed, leaving a deafening silence between me and Taehyung.
I looked awkwardly at the floor, playing with my finger. I didn't want to look up... at the knives, the guns, the blood... him.
"Bailey... can you please come here." He asked sweetly. I closed my eyes.
"I... I can't." I said. I heard a sigh, then some shuffling, but I didn't dare open my eyes. It was too horrifying.
Then suddenly, I felt someone grab my hands. Startled, I gasped, retracted my hands, and quickly opened my eyes, taking a step back.
Taehyung looked at me, hurt.
"D-Don't." I said.
"Bailey..."
"You can't just tell me you're a gang member, then do this like we're okay... how could you not tell me such an important detail?" I asked.
"I.. was protecting you." He said.
"If you were protecting me, you wouldn't have gotten involved with me in the first place." I said. He looked more hurt, which I felt bad about.
"I'm still me. I still really like you." He said. I looked around the room again, my heart once again palpitating. My eyes once again filled up with tears as they landed on his poorly treated wounds.
"W-Who did this to you?" I asked.
"Another gang. I was jumped on campus." He said. I felt alarmed.
"There's another gang?!" I asked.
"A couple. I believe three male-only gangs and two female-only gangs. Your friend Jessi is in one." He said.
"Jessi? But she lives in a dorm with me." I said.
"Yeah I asked her about that once. She said she can't share a dorm with her gang mates because they would fight a lot." He said. Well, girls are girls. Drama queens.
"I can't believe this. A gang?" I asked.
"I know it sounds bad but Bailey my feelings for you are real." He said, taking a step forward.
"But why? Why are you in a gang and why did you get involved with me if you knew it wasn't safe?" I asked, betrayed.
"I-I'm sorry. I just fell for you and I didn't realize how deep I was falling but I couldn't help myself. I first just wanted a friend but Bailey you're special." He said. The tears fell from my eyes.
"Taehyung, did you not think of how his would make ME feel? How betrayed and scared I would be?" I asked, taking another step back.
"Bailey please please don't cry. I hate it the most when you cry. It hurts... please." He said with softened eyes.
"Of course I'm crying! Look at you! You're all bloody, your room is FULL of bloody weapons, AND you kept this secret from me. I'm scared! I'm shocked, of course I'm crying!" I yelled, both angry and frightened.
"I didn't think you would find out this way. I was going to tell you—"
"I came here tonight to ask you out. I wanted to make things official but—"
"Then let's. Bailey I really like you." He said, taking a quick step forward and leaning in to hug me. "Please... don't leave me."
I stood, holding up my arms to keep space between me and him... to keep him from touching me.
"I can't. This is a lot to take in and I can't be touched by you right now. I can't be around you. I have to go." I said, slightly pushing him back before running out of the door, and as fast as I can, out of the dorm.
