They appeared on Midgard, in the middle of a small town. Thor didn't know where they were, but he could see what appeared to be New York City in the distance. Thor tried to calculate where they landed, but he was off a bit when he meant to aim for the outskirts of New York City.
"Perhaps we should change our clothes. It would be very bad for us if someone was to recognize us," Thor mumbled. Loki quietly nodded in agreement.
And so Thor left to fetch an outfit from a nearby clothing store while Loki just used his magic to transform his appearance. He wore a green button up shirt, black jeans, and black leather shoes. Thor came back with a white sweatshirt and blue jeans paired with a simple pair of sneakers. His long blonde hair was put up in a pony tail.
"You clean up nicely brother," Thor spoke as he glanced at Loki's attire.
"And you... look comfortable," Loki muttered in reply.
"Anyway, let us be off. I can see the land known as New York from here," Thor said as he pointed to the city.
They started to walk, and they made it to New York City fifteen minutes after they started on their journey. Thor spotted the Stark tower, and he became so eager to see his friends that he began to skip. Thor found himself becoming increasingly excited, to the point where he began to run without a second thought.
"Slow down! My attire is not fit for running!" Loki called to his brother who was a ways ahead of him.
"Apologies brother," Thor called back and stopped in his tracks so Loki could catch up to him. Once Loki was beside Thor, they continued to walk together to Stark tower.
Loki glanced around the city he was now familiar with. Everyone here must've known who he was, since he attempted to take over the world from Stark Tower. Though he was defeated, he tried to walk in a confident manner.
I will have more opportunities
Loki thought as he let out a silent devious chuckle. Of course he wasn't going to give up after he was thwarted once. He was determined to become better than his brother. All he desired was to get out of the shadow that his brother cast over him since they were young.
"He has transformed the building's appearance," Thor spoke, looking up at the large building.
Loki looked up at Stark Tower, getting flashbacks from his first time there. A chill ran down his spine as he recalled his clash with the Hulk. Hulk beat him senseless, to the point where Loki feared the big green beast.
They finally made it to Stark tower, and Thor was overjoyed to be able to see the Avengers again.
They walked in, and they were greeted by a lady behind a desk.
"I have come from Asgard to visit Tony Stark and the other Avengers," Thor triumphantly stated as he waltzed up to the desk. He laid his arm against the desk and leaned against it.
"The elevator is over there," she pointed to the right where the elevators were, "I think he is on the tenth floor."
"I give you my thanks, madam," Thor spoke, bowing slightly to her. He smiled at the lady and led Loki over to the elevator.
"Shall we?" Thor said as he motioned to the elevator. Loki got in first, and Thor followed behind.
Thor stared at the panel of buttons, not exactly sure how it worked. He was so unacquainted with the modern technology in this world.
"Um," Thor looked down, embarrassed by the fact that he didn't know how the contraption worked.
"Perhaps the button that has the number ten on it is the one you should press," Loki commented, pointing to the small circular button with the number ten engraved on it.
