*Tyler's POV*

I couldn't lie, I'd really had my doubts about going so all out for our date. I'd spent forever worrying if it'd be over the top or just too cheesy, over thinking every little detail. The second he walked out onto the balcony though, I knew I'd made the right decision. Never in all of my time knowing him did I see his eyes light up like that, and I wanted nothing more than to be the one to make that happen every day for the rest of my life. Sure, the date hadn't gone quite as planned, but I didn't feel spiteful about it like usual. It just felt so irrelevant and easy to laugh at already, and I imagined that was thanks to Troye.  He just made everything so much easier, so much better.

Even right now, driving through the end of the day traffic, I had a huge smile plastered on my face. Troye had fallen asleep in the seat next to me nearly immediately after leaving the restaurant, despite all of his efforts not to. He'd done nothing but sleep all day so you'd think he'd have had enough of it by now, but apparently not. He slept a lot normally, going through two days with barely any at all was probably pretty hard on the poor guy.

I let out a sigh of relief a my destination came into view, taking a sharp turn into the parking lot. Finally. I grabbed my wallet off the dashboard, stuffing it into my pocket none too gracefully. I'd been holding my breath, not wanting to wake Troye, but seemed to have failed considering he was now stirring next to me. I stayed still, clinging to the hope I could still get away with it, but his eyes fluttered opened a second later.

"Where are we?" He said groggily, his eyes blinking repeatedly as he tried to get the sleep out of them. I gave him a minute, waiting for his senses to come back to him in silence. His eyes finally focused and he made a face when he seen where we were.

"A grocery store?" He asked skeptically, lolling his head to the side and narrowing his eyes at me. I blushed and reached across the console, shoving him.

"This is a pit stop, you were supposed to sleep through it. Go back to sleep, I'l be back in ten minutes tops." He frowned slightly, obviously not happy with this outcome, but he still sunk back down against the seat.

"Hurry back, love." He mumbled quietly, laughing awkwardly at his own sense of sleepy humor. I rolled my eyes, hopping out and making a beeline for the store. I didn't tell him that I'd be trying to make this my quickest trip to the store ever, or that my heart was pounding in my chest at the thought of leaving him alone again. I knew he was getting a bit tired of how I was coddling him, but he had to understand why. I don't think I could take it if I ever lost him again.

I definitely succeeded in making it the shortest trip ever. Just four minutes later I was speedwalking back to the car with three bags balanced in my arms. I froze when I seen the car though, my heart stopping when I noticed Troye wasn't there. I didn't know if I was about to drop the bags or break everything inside them from hugging them to my chest too hard, but I didn't care. I'd just gotten him back! No! I jogged the rest of the way to the car, setting the bags on the roof and opening his door in a panic.

"Ah, fuck, Tylah! What are you doing?" I felt like slapping myself when I realized what was going on. Troye had leaned his seat back so he could sleep easier, and he'd curled up into a little ball against the door. A little ball that nearly fell face-first onto the pavement when I flew the door open.

"Sorry..." I mumbled sheepishly, helping him back into his seat with an embarrassed blush highlighting my face. He just shot me a glare, leaning back in the seat as I recollected the bags from the roof. I opened the backseat, setting them inside carefully. I was vaguely aware of how Troye had shifted around in his seat to watch me, but I didn't really think anything of it. Well, not until his hand darted forward and grabbed one of the bags.
