i have seen so many carl grimes fan fiction in which he is in the prison and it like has no relation to the tv show.

and fyi

carl will not share a prison cell with your character.

and if it's a boy oc then it'd be more natural and make more sense, bc that's just how the world is.

and i think it'd be interesting for when the governor attacked that your oc got stuck w somebody other than carl so she/he could realize how much they missed carl and so the fic could breathe a minute without romance.
