Chapter 5

{Dave's Point Of View}

     I pet John's hair as he slept. He was so adorable. He grabbed onto my shirt holding onto me tightly. I chuckled. "this is so adorable..." I whisper to Dirk. "Ya I can agree with that. Who would've thought the new kids would already be our friends." Dirk smirks. "same here.... i wonder why they moved though..." I mumble. I kissed John's forehead and picked him up taking him to my room. My face was a bright red from how adorable he was. I set him on the bed and covered him up. I went to go sleep on the couch only to be pulled down by a half-asleep John. "Stay...." He mumbled and layed his head on my chest. I sighed and pet his hair again. I pulled the covers over the both of us and went to sleep.

{Dirk's Point Of View}

       I continued to watch tv after Dave went to bed. I held Jake in my lap continuing to pet him. He started to squirm a bit, signaling he was waking up. "Hi....." He mumbled. "Hello, sleepy head." I chuckled and pet his hair scratching his scalp lightly. He leaned into my hand a bit. I smiled and continued to do that. "Where'd John and Dave go?" He asked quietly. "They went to bed. I think it's time for you to go to bed as well, English." I smirk as he starts to fall asleep again. "Your not my mom...." He mutters. "No, but I am your friend who sees you need sleep. Come on, I'll carry you." I smirk. His face turns pink but let's me pick him up. I walked upstairs with him to my room. I layed him down in the bed and covered him up. He whimpered. I turned back at him just as I was about to leave. "What's wrong, Jake?" I ask walking over to him. "Come back you nugget, so I can cuddle. No protesting. I know your sleep schedule." He growls. I sigh and lay down with him. He curled up and held onto me tightly making it impossible to get out of his grasp. I eventually fell asleep with him trailing behind. I hugged him tightly.
