june didn't know where she was going to go. she'd find out once she got there. she stomped down the street, still riled up with anger from their argument. she found a small cafe, and decided to go into it, ordering a small hot chocolate and sitting down at the table.

immediately her phone was buzzing, and she'd just realized now. it wasn't only from niall, who'd spammed her phone over and over again. but from jake, and alex, who demanding her to tell where she was. she texted alex where she was, telling him to not look for her. she simply ignored niall's messages.

she knew she wouldn't be gone for long, but june definitely needed to cool down. the brunette rubbed her eyes, running her fingers through her hair.

june stayed there for awhile, none of the workers really minding, as she looked tense. she called a taxi to take her back, though she was dreading going back and confronting the boys, niall specifically, but she'd have to eventually. so she called a taxi and waited, and went outside when it was there.

the lady was very nice, and actually noticed how worked up the brunette looked. june spilled everything about her situation to the taxi driver.

the driver listened to her, not saying a word until she was done. it made her feel comfortable, and nice.

"boys are weird like that. they always talk before they think. give him a second chance. it seems you really fancy him." the lady said, and june nodded, chewing on her lip and looking down, focusing on her words.

they talked until she got there, and she actually hugged the lady before she got out, thanking her sincerely. she went up the stairs slowly, knocking on the door. a bump was heard before footsteps bounding toward the door. alex opened it, and immediately attacked her into a hug. she felt bad for worrying him.

neither of them said anything while they hugged, nor did they after. that was all they needed.

"niall is in his room. he's been worrying about you, he was about to go looking for you until you texted alex." jake mumbled after awhile, looking at her and waiting for... whatever she'd say.

june simply nodded. she felt small jolts of anxiety in her system, as she slowly moved to the door. her hand was so close to the door—

"what if he's still mad? mad at me for making him worry, and mad at me for yelling at him. oh god, i fucked up. i fucked up bad." she fretted at the last moment, shaking her head quickly. alex shook his head.

"you're so fucking oblivious, aren't you?" his tone made her look up at him with a confused look. he sounded angry.

"what do you mean?" she asked, her voice soft.

"niall fancies you, june. it's not rocket science or brain surgery or whatever the fuck they say. it's simple. he likes you." jake cut in, making over dramatic hand motions as to convey his point, as if she was thick. her eyebrows furrowed.

had she been missing that niall actually liked her. she looked to the side for a moment, before going over to the door, knocking on it, ignoring jake asking why she didn't answer him.

niall answered, his hair messy and his eyes wide, obviously not expecting to see her.

she wordlessly hugged him, and after a moment of him being caught off guard, he hugged her back. they stayed like this for a few moments, neither of them really wanting to let go. when they did, neither of them knew what to say.

"i'm sorry." june talked first, her voice in the same tone it was before with alex and jake.

"so am i." niall said. usually he'd crack a joke to escape the awkward situation of apology, but it seemed he was completely serious, which put a small smile on her face.

"get a room, assholes." alex said, laughing as jake made fake gagging sounds.

"oh fuck off." niall shot back, a small smile on his lips.

everything seemed back to normal so quickly, that it felt strange. but, hell, june was okay with it. she was happy to be back with them, though she'd only been gone a few hours. though the boys were idiots, immature idiots, she was happy to be around them. they were her friends, even when they were accusing her of being a furry for no reason.
