Chapter Twenty
"You still want me to keep you updated or should I just leave and never show myself to you again?" Vlad says as we walked out the classroom.
"You should just leave." I turned around and saw Carrie with Milly. Why does she have to go around with Carrie? Doesn't she see how fucking evil she is?!
"Anyway it's about time you get a taste of your own medicine." She whispers to me. I shove her away and walk out the building.
The way she was talking, she wanted me to cause a scene! No, she wants us to cause a scene that she'll benefit from and make me look horrible. I've observed Carrie and her tactics for 2 years and it became really useful; especially if you're her next target.
"Meg!" I heard someone calling me. It wasn't Milly or Carrie or Vlad. Her voice is kind of chirpy so it's probably Ellison?
I turned around and saw the girl jogging towards me. With a bright smile. "Hi." I say when she was standing beside me.
"Are you going to QIU?" She asks me and it took me a few seconds to realize where I was actually going. An awkward moment when you just walked out dramatically and you have no idea where to go?
"If you are." I say with a shrug. She chuckles and we made our way to QIU together. We had a small conversation on the way. Thankfully it wasn't awkward or there weren't any silence in between. We were talking about basic school work and graduation.
When we got to their lawn, she pulls me to Bryan but I backed away a little; not being too obvious. I just remembered what happened the last time I encountered Bryan. I only went closer when Ellison waved me over.
"Is this your friend?" He asks Ellison with a smirk and throws an arm around her. Well they make a cute couple don't they?
"Yeah. Meg, you remember Bryan. My cousin?"
Oh snap.
"Yeah her boyfriend totally told me off." Bryan says, pinching Ellison's cheeks making her wince and smacking him on the chest
"He should cause you're such a perv." She says while shoving him away. I chuckle and cross my arms over my chest, enjoying the scene infront of me.
"D'you even know who her boyfriend is?" Bryan asks his cousin with a serious look. I look at Ellison who looked like she doesn't really care.
"It's really none of my business, Brye." She says, rolling her eyes. Bryan looks at her like she just said something really crazy and unbelievable.
"I'm... I'm... Confused." I finally say.
Ellison grabs my arm and pulls me away from her cousin. She left him there with his jaw dropped. Let's hope butterflies and other insects don't find Bryan's mouth a comfortable place to live in.
"What was-"
"Don't mind him." She says shaking her head and looks back again. I turn as well and saw Bryan hasn't moved from his spot yet. Something's going on here. But I'd rather not ask... For now. Change subject
"What are you doing here in the first place?" I ask her. I notice we were heading to the gym.
She chuckles as we enter the building. "Did you see how flabby Bryan was?"
I looked at her weirdly and shake my head. "Because the first thing I do when I meet someone is check out their body structure." I tell her sarcastically. She laughs and pulls out a folder from her bag before we enter the gym area.
"Well his mum's getting pissed that he's becoming a lazy ass when it comes to fitness. So she wants me to get him into the gym." She says.
"Wow, you're a good cousin." I say with a light laugh. We both leaned onto the desk as the woman checks the application.
