Chapter Thirty Four

Soft music played out of the speakers. I get out of bed earlier than I usual do, finding Louis gone.

I creep up to him in the living room. His back turned against me on the sofa. I peek up and see a stack of papers and a few crumpled sheets on the coffee table.

I went behind the couch and wrap my arms around him. I lean down to kiss his cheek, catching him by surprise. "What are you up to, sneaky pants?" I reach over for the papers but he has snatched them before I could lay a finger. I slap his arm.

"What was that?" I ask him.

"I didnt take performing arts for nothin'." He says with a smirk. He shoves the papers into a folder. "Breakfast?" He asks.

"Are you actually going to cook this time?" I ask as I raise an eyebrow at him.

"Do you actually want food poisoning?" He asks. I sigh and roll my eyes before going around the couch. He kisses my cheek before running to our room. "Love you!" He shouts.

I went inside the kitchen and look through the fridge for anything to cook. All that's left are some chicken and a few beef cutlets. Why do we even get these things, we don't know shit on how to cook them. I'll have to go grocery shopping tomorrow. I grab the phone from the stand and dial McDonald's number.

I order 2 large fries, a box of 20 pieces chicken nuggets and 2 cheeseburgers. The delivery guy must've been Scottish or something because I can barely understand what he's saying. All I understood was, "food will be there in 30 minutes." Then I hung up.

Again I hear soft music coming from upstairs. I put the phone back on the stand and went upstairs. When I open the door, I saw Louis sitting by the desk with a guitar on hand. He plays a few chords while humming a melody then rights something on his paper. I never understood music language.

He looks up and nods for me to come in so I do. "What are you up to now? It's not that secret anymore cause you let me in, I guess." I say, crossing my arms infront of me.

"I'm going to sing in the reception later. It's such late notice cause I only thought about it this morning." He says.

"This morning? You were up really early?" I ask him and he nods.

"I couldn't sleep. I thought about doing something special for mum on her wedding day and then this came along," he pats his guitar. "She hasn't heard me sing since I was 15 or something and she's probably dying to hear me again." He says, looking so proud of himself. Well, he should. He has a beautiful voice and a wonderful talent. He has the reason to show it off.

"What have you planned?" I ask him.

He chuckles then puts his guitar down. He stands up and puts his hands in his pocket.

"Mum and Dan will be sitting at their table... Once the stage is unoccupied, I'm going up there after the speeches and everything. Everyone's going to be so surprised." He says. "Then I'm going to ask mum and Dan to go to the dance floor for their first dance."

"What song are you going to sing?" I ask him.

He chuckles and takes hold of both of my hands. "You love Westlife, don't you?" He asks.
